Palana Devata — Material Life and Livelihood

• In the Navamsa see the 6th house from Amatyakaraka. Planets there show the Palana Devata. If there is none, take the lord.
• Amatyakaraka is Jupiter. The 6th from him in the Navamsa is Sagittarius, with Mars in it.
• For Palana Devata a Devi form is usually given. For Mars, a fiery form of the Divine Mother: Bagalamukhi, Chandi or Chamundi.
• It gives her the energy to pursue the material career, understand the material world and organise life in it.
