12L in 7H: always expenses on spouse (12L agenda = expenses; 7H = wife's resources = "whatever expense applied on account of wife will be sanctioned"); no marital happiness (from 7H-lagna, 12L = 6L in lagna = fights, unpleasantness); physically weak (12L aspects lagna from 7H = lord of loss aspecting vitality); no scholarship (from 5H, 12L = 8L = Arishta for scholarship; but possible occult knowledge as Viparita exception — CAVEAT: "Viparita Rajyoga works for sudden gains of money/power NOT scholarship; scholarship requires sustained effort, not a sudden blessing"). 12L in 8H: always profitable (−×−=+; lord of losses struggles to give losses; profits result); soft-spoken (humility-agenda planet aspects 2H of speech from 7th position = same result as 12L in 2H); medium lifespan (longevity thumb rule: Kendra/Trikona lord in 8H = long life; neutral planet [2/8/12L] = medium; 3/6/11L = short); all good qualities — sampurna guna (from 12H-lagna, 12L = LL in 9H = "divine guidance, clear dharma; selfless person who knows exactly what to do"). 12L in 9H: guru dissatisfaction OR humble servant of guru (both possible; 12L = dissatisfaction/humility in 9H = double-reading; Parashara stresses negative); enmity with friends (from 6H, 12L = 7L in 4th from 6H = excellent for 6H = many enmities); highly driven — swartha sadhana (≠ selfish; swa+artha+sadhana = "achieves what he set out to do"; from 3H, 12L = 10L in 7H = "uses interactions to accomplish karma; moves heaven and earth for his sankalpa"). 12L in 10H: career-related expenses (12L in 10H = "spending on professional image maintenance — dress code, expensive car for career; higher percentage of earnings on status than others"); little happiness from father (12L = dissatisfaction; Argala on 9H = dissatisfaction with/about father). 12L in 11H: problems in gains (12L = Maraka of 11H in its lagna = drains profits); sometimes receives money saved by others (from 11H-lagna, 12L = 2L = accumulated wealth of friends/elder sibling = "friend may write a check from his big bank balance; inheritance-like, without own effort"). 12L in 12H: Vimana Yoga (if strong and no 6H affiliation = humble, virtuous, selfless) OR lots of expenses + no physical happiness + angry/resentful (if 6H-affiliated; from 6H, 12L = 7L in 7th from 6H = excellent for 6H = "makes a point of telling people he hates them").

12th Lord in 7th House
BPHS results:
- Always expenses on account of spouse (darakrota sada)
- No happiness from wife (bharya sukha naiva)
- Physically weak (durbalaha)
- No learning/scholarship (vidyavirvarjitaha)
Parsing:
Why expenses on spouse: 12th lord's agenda = expenses. In 7th house, the available resources are wife and all connected with wife. "If he applies for an expense on account of wife, it will be sanctioned."
Why no happiness from wife:
- From 7th house as lagna (wife's reference): 6th lord in lagna
- 6th lord in lagna from wife's point of view = "lot of fights, etc."
- "It is not a pleasant combination for marital happiness"
Why physically weak:
- Planet in 7th house always aspects lagna
- 12th lord aspecting lagna = lord of loss aspecting house of vitality
- "His aspect on lagna indicates some weakness, some physical problem"
Why no scholarship:
- From lagna: 12th lord aspecting lagna reduces basic intelligence (lagna = basic intelligence)
- From 5th house: planet is 8th lord from 5th = Arishta planet disrupts scholarship
- Exception: can give occult scholarship (8th from 5th in upachaya); Vipariita Rajyoga can give knowledge of hidden things
- BUT: Vipariita Rajyoga doesn't give sudden scholarship — scholarship requires steady work, unlike money which can come suddenly
12th Lord in 8th House
BPHS results:
- Always accompanied by profits (labhaanvita sada)
- Soft-spoken/pleasant speaker (priyavak)
- Medium lifespan (madhyamayuh)
- All kinds of good qualities (sampurna guna samyuktaha)
Parsing:
Why always profitable:
- Two negatives make a positive: lord of losses in house of struggles = he struggles to give losses, so losses are reduced; profits result
- "12th lord in 8th = minus × minus = plus"
Why soft-spoken:
- 12th lord's agenda = humility; he aspects 2nd house from 7th position
- Lord of humility aspecting house of speech = person speaks with humility
- Same result as 12th lord in 2nd (where he directly occupies speech house)
Why medium lifespan:
- Thumb rule for planets in 8th house:
- Functional benefic (trine/quadrant lord) in 8th → long life
- Neutral planet (2nd/8th/12th lord) in 8th → medium life
- Functional malefic (3rd/6th/11th lord) in 8th → short life
- 12th lord is neutral (houses 2, 8, 12 are neutral)
- "12th lord in 8th = neutral → medium life; not bad for longevity either"
Why all good qualities (sampurna guna):
- From 12th house as lagna (house of selflessness and dharma clarity):
- This planet = lagna lord in 9th house
- "Lagna lord in 9th = divine guidance; clear direction of dharma"
- Person has very clear sense of right and wrong; knows exactly what he has to do
- From dharma of 12th house: 12th = selflessness, moksha direction; planet (lagna lord from 12H) in 9th = dharma of 12th house is blessed
- "He is a selfless person. He knows what his duty is. He will do it."
12th Lord in 9th House
BPHS results:
- Hates his guru (gurudveshi)
- Enmity even with friends (mitray api vairam)
- Driven / achievement-oriented (swartha sadhana tatpara)
Parsing:
Why hates guru (dual interpretation):
- Negative: 12th lord = dissatisfaction, feeling of missing something. In 9th house (guru, dharma), can create a lingering sense of dissatisfaction with guru. "He may feel he is not getting enough from his guru."
- Positive: 12th lord = humility; in 9th = humble servant of guru. "He can be a person who humbly serves his guru." Parashara stresses the negative possibility.
Why enmity with friends:
- From 6th house (enmity): 7th lord in 4th from 6th = excellent for 6th house → many enmities
- Interactions (7th lord) with clear direction (4th house) toward 6th house = deliberately creates enmities
- "This planet is fundamentally well-placed in the 6th house of enmity, giving many enemies"
Why driven/swartha sadhana:
- "Swartha" ≠ selfish; swa (self) + artha (purpose) + sadhana (achieving) = "someone who achieves what he set out to do"
- From 3rd house (initiative, drive): 10th lord (karma) in 7th (interactions) from 3rd = uses interactions to accomplish his work
- 3rd house is very powerful: person takes initiative, does not give up
- "He will move heaven and earth to accomplish what he has set out to do. Once he takes a sankalpa, the ball will definitely roll."
12th Lord in 10th House
BPHS results:
- Expenses on account of royal family / professional associations (rajaguladveya)
- Little happiness from father (pitru do pi sukham swalpa)
Parsing:
Why expenses on career/status:
- 12th lord's agenda = expenses. In 10th house, resources = career, professional status.
- Rajagulad = "because of associations with high-status people, spending is required"
- Modern examples: dress code at professional workplace, need for expensive car/clothes for career status
- "He has to spend a higher percentage of earnings on maintaining his professional image than others"
Why little happiness from father:
- 12th lord has argala on 9th house (from 10th house, 12th house creates argala on 11th which has argala on... actually argala from 10H on 9H)
- 12th lord = dissatisfaction, feeling of loss; with argala on 9th (father) = dissatisfaction from/about father
- "A planet who shows dissatisfaction having argala on 9th house does show not being happy with father"
12th Lord in 11th House
BPHS results:
- Problems in gains (labhe hani)
- Sometimes gets money saved by others (para rakshitam dravyam kadachit labhate)
Parsing:
Why problems in gains:
- 12th lord (losses) in 11th (gains) = Lord of losses told to give profits → "he will drain out profits"
- Also: 12th lord = Maraka from 11th house; Maraka in lagna from 11th = not good for 11th
Why gets money saved by others:
- From 11th house as lagna (friends): this planet = 2nd lord (accumulated wealth of friends)
- 2nd lord from 11H = represents accumulated money of friends/elder siblings
- In native's 11th house = sometimes native gains from that friend's accumulated wealth
- "One of his friends may write him a check from his big bank balance, and this person uses it"
- Elder brother's money is also possible (11th = elder sibling)
- "He may suddenly gain money saved/accumulated by someone else — inheritance-like, without his own effort"
12th Lord in 12th House
BPHS results:
- Lot of expenses (yadhikyam hi)
- No physical happiness (nasari rosukham)
- Angry and resentful towards people (krodhi, dveshapara)
Parsing:
Why lots of expenses: Straightforward — 12th lord in his own house = 12th house is very strong = lots of expenses.
Why no physical happiness: 12th house very strong → 12th's job of causing losses/compromises to lagna is very effective.
Why angry and resentful:
- From 6th house: 7th lord in 7th from 6th = excellent for 6th house
- This planet also aspects 6th house
- "Not only angry, but makes a point of telling people he hates them"
Exception — Vimana Yoga:
- 12th lord in 12th = Vimana Yoga (similar to Hasta Yoga for 6th lord in 6th; Vimala Yoga also cited)
- If planet is strong AND not affiliated with 6th house (e.g., Pisces lagna with Saturn in 12th — Saturn doesn't own 6th), Vimana Yoga dominates
- "He will be humble and very nice to people. Person in Vimana Yoga can be very virtuous and selfless."
- "Parashara's negative results are a possibility; Vimana Yoga is also a possibility"
