Stationary Transit Principle: Planet Stationary=Stops+Acts(3-4° Orb Only); JHora Mundane Tab=Stationary Transit Mode; Nimitta Dog=Saturn. RM(Aquarius 1999) Coma: Jupiter-Rahu Dasha=Jupiter(2L Maraka)+BUT Rahu(1L in Lagna=Protective); HOWEVER Gochara: Jupiter(8H from Moon)+Rahu(Debil in 2H=Maraka Sthana)=Long Suffering; Relief: Jupiter Moves to 9H From Moon(~June 2013)

Stationary transit principle: "A planet moving through a chart is like observing while driving — you notice things but don't act on them. A stationary planet is like stopping your car — you can fully focus and act. When stationary within 3-4° of a natal position, that signification gets fully activated." How to find in JHora: Mundane tab → Stationary Transit Mode → select planet (Saturn/Jupiter) → Before/After → shows exact date and longitude of station. Orb: "must be within 3-4 degrees; not 8-10 degrees." Nimitta: "Nimitta = external signs from nature during prashna; dog = Saturn (dog is Saturn's animal); dog crying when thinking about transits = Nimitta saying look at Saturn." RM (Mar 25, 1999, 4:54 AM IST, Boston; Aquarius lagna; in coma 60+ days as of Aug 2012). Vimshottari: Jupiter-Rahu = Jupiter is 2L (Maraka) but Rahu is lagna lord in lagna (Aquarius = Rahu co-rules; lagna lord in lagna = protective, NOT Maraka); "from dasha lord Jupiter as lagna: Rahu = 10L in 10H = career-related, not killer; not running Maha Maraka period." Gochara from natal Moon (Libra): Jupiter transiting Taurus = 8H from Moon = "dasha lord transiting 8H from Moon = not good"; Rahu transiting Scorpio = debilitated in 2H from Moon = Maraka sthana for Moon; Saturn transiting Libra = Sade Sati (Janmarashi); Mars also near Moon. Key rule: "In critical health, check gochara of Dasha lord and antardasha lord from natal Moon; when both have poor transits, suffering extends until those transits improve." Relief timing: Jupiter moves from Taurus to Gemini (~June 2013) = "9H from Moon and 5H from lagna = trines = fortunate; Jupiter moving there can bring fortunate health development."

"A moving planet is like a car in motion — it notices things but doesn't stop to act. A stationary planet has stopped. It can fully act on what it sees. When Saturn becomes stationary within 3-4 degrees of a natal position in the suffering chart D30, it triggers whatever that position represents. The dog that cried outside was a Nimitta — Saturn's animal, saying look at Saturn. I looked at Saturn. There it was: stationary at the end of June, right when the coma began."

Aquarius lagna (Boston). Jupiter-Rahu dasha: Jupiter=2L Maraka, Rahu=1L protective. Gochara: Jupiter in 8H from Moon + Rahu debilitated in 2H (Maraka sthana from Moon) = long suffering. Saturn stationary June 2012 at D30 6th lord = triggered coma. Prashna: 9L aspecting lagna + lagna lord exalted in 9H = survival indicated. Relief ~June 2013 (Jupiter to 9H from Moon).

Stationary Transit Principle — Core Teaching

Definition: When a slow planet (Saturn, Jupiter) becomes stationary (retrograde-to-direct or direct-to-retrograde turning point), it appears to "stand still" for several weeks. During this time, its aspects and conjunctions are exceptionally powerful — it can "act on" what it sees.

Orb: Within 3–4 degrees of a natal position (not 8–10 degrees). Must be very close to be significant.

How to find in JHora:

  1. Open any current chart → go to Mundane tab
  2. Click "Stationary Transit Mode" button
  3. Select a planet (Saturn, Jupiter)
  4. Select "Before" (to find the most recent station) or "After" (next station)
  5. Result: shows exact date and longitude of the station

Mechanism:

"A planet moving through a chart is like observing while driving — you notice things but don't act on them. A stationary planet is like stopping your car — you can fully focus and act. When it is aspecting or conjoining a natal position within 3-4 degrees, that natal signification gets activated."

— PVNR

Practical note: "Not every life event happens close to a stationary transit, so you cannot predict every event this way. But if a very close stationary transit of an important planet is visible on a sensitive natal point, you can confidently predict an important event."

PVNR's personal tracking: "I keep track of when Jupiter and Saturn become stationary — these are the most important. If I know a station occurred, I can check if it coincided with an event."

1a. Nimitta — Omens in Prashna

Nimitta = external signs from nature that occur during a prashna consultation, indicating the nature of the issue

Dog sign: Dogs are represented by Saturn. When a dog cried at the moment PVNR was thinking "what are the transits?", it was a Nimitta saying "look at Saturn." This confirmed looking at Saturn's stationary transit as the cause of the coma.

Vimshottari Dasha Analysis

Running Dasha: Jupiter-Rahu

Jupiter (Mahadasha lord):

  • = 2nd lord (Maraka) + joining 3rd lord → "Jupiter is the 2nd lord, a functional Maraka for Aquarius lagna; 2nd lord joining 3rd lord = Maraka active"
  • Jupiter potentially can kill, but the dasha alone doesn't determine fatality

Rahu (Antardasha lord):

  • = Lagna lord in Lagna (Aquarius = Saturn/Rahu co-ruled; Rahu in Lagna for Aquarius = Lagna lord in Lagna)
  • "Lagna lord in Lagna is NOT a Maraka — it is actually protective"
  • From Dasha lord Jupiter as lagna: Rahu = 10th lord in 10th house → career-related, not Maraka
  • Conclusion: Not running a Maha Maraka period; Rahu antardasha is not a killer

Gochara (Transit) Analysis

From Natal Moon (Libra):

  • Saturn: Transiting Libra (Janmarashi) = Sade Sati in 1st position; in inimical sign; aspect on natal position
  • Mars: Also transiting close to Moon → Chandra-Mangala gochara (not good)
  • Jupiter: In 8th house from natal Moon (Taurus)
  • Dasha lord (Jupiter) transit: In 8th house from natal Moon = "dasha lord transiting 8th from Moon = not good"
  • Antardasha lord (Rahu) transit: In 2nd house from natal Moon; Rahu in Scorpio = debilitated; 2nd house from Moon = Maraka sthana for Moon → "antardasha lord debilitated in a Maraka sthana from Moon = bad"

Combined assessment: "Not just Dasha, but Dasha lord and antardasha lord both have poor gochara from natal Moon. This is the long-term cause of the problem — not a sudden transit of Mars, but the slow-moving planets."

Key rule:

"In critical health situations, check not only the Dasha, but also the gochara of Dasha lord and antardasha lord from natal Moon. When both have poor transits, the suffering extends until those transits improve."

— PVNR

Relief timing: When Jupiter moves from Taurus to Gemini (~May–June 2013 = 9 months from Aug 2012), it will be in the 9th house from Moon and 5th house from Lagna → "5th and 9th are trines = fortunate positions; Jupiter moving there can bring a fortunate development in health"
