• Shravana is ruled by Vishnu. Its nature is very auspicious.
• Pranapada Lagna (PP) is in Shravana. Pranapada is the symbol of the life force within us; it shows the liveliness and energy within us. (Worked out by hand from the chart's sunrise, PP falls at about 10° Capricorn, the start of Shravana.)
• The Tribhagi dasha running at the time of the class is Moon — Shravana (from Chitra at birth, Shravana runs roughly 2004 to 2007).

Speed check for the direction of aspect

• Moon: 14° a day here against a normal 13°. Slightly fast (the cast chart gives 14.7°).
• Jupiter: normal 0.08° a day; here slightly higher (about 0.2°).
• Saturn: normal 0.03° a day; the notes say "in the example it is going fast". In the cast chart Saturn moves about 0.08° a day and is retrograde, so by the rule above his full aspect runs backward.

Situation

• Moon's birth nakshatra: Uttarashadha.
• Running Tribhagi dasha: Punarvasu (about late 2002 to early 2008). Before it: Ardra (about late 1996 to late 2002).
• The native is agitated in both dashas. Ardra is Rudra's star, so that part needs no explanation. Why Punarvasu, Aditi's star?

Analysis

• Mrityu, the upagraha that is the son of Mars, is in Punarvasu. (The written notes call it "Mrityu sahama" while describing it as the son of Mars and grouping it with Kala and Gulika. A hand check of the chart puts the Mrityu upagraha in Punarvasu — late Gemini to the first degree of Cancer.)
• Punarvasu is also aspected by Moon: Moon has the 15th-nakshatra aspect, and with Abhijit counted, Punarvasu is the 15th star from Uttarashadha.
• So the nature of Moon is added to Punarvasu along with Mrityu. The auspicious star is spoiled for this native.

Remedy

• Rule: when Kala, Mrityu or Gulika is in the nakshatra, worship that nakshatra's deity.
• Current transit: Sun aspects Punarvasu for about a month; Saturn's influence had been there for a few months.
• Strengthening Punarvasu by praying to Aditi can help the native.

• The Tribhagi dasha studied is Vishakha (from Uttara Phalguni at birth it runs from about mid-2000 to late 2005).
• The notes give Mitra, one of the Adityas, as ruler of Vishakha, and call it an auspicious nakshatra for doing rituals. (In the nakshatra sutras Vishakha belongs to Indra-Agni and Mitra to Anuradha, the next star, whose dasha follows for this native. The notes may have merged the two.)
• Artha Prahara, son of Mercury, influences Vishakha. He differentiates between things: the person will balance various things.
• 2004 transits: Ketu influenced Vishakha. Ketu moves backward; he was in Vishakha at the beginning of 2004 and left it in March 2004 for Swati.
• "End of 2003 and beginning of 2004 is a crucial time for the native to decide on learning Vedas, detachment."
