A student asked to see the Navamsha of the annual chart.

Chara karakas of the year

• Chara karakas can be taken from the year's chart as well. If AK and AmK are in mutual 6-8 in the year's Navamsha and the Rashi 10th lord is in a dusthana from AmK, expect career trouble that year. The remedy can then be taken from that chart, or by praying to the planet who is AmK
• The class notes add: or pray to the 6th lord from AmK, the Palana Devata
• This year: AK Jupiter, AmK Moon. They are in mutual trine in Rashi and in D10
• In Navamsha they are together in Cancer: Moon in own sign, Jupiter exalted — Gajakesari Yoga

"Navamsa is the most important part. This is your protection, the inner protection, the protection from the gods, the protection from poorva karma."

• AmK with an exalted AK in Navamsha: "this is a very good year"
• Venus, ruler of the year: exalted in the 10th house of Navamsha. "If a planet is exalted in 10th house in Navamsha, can he give fortune in career? Absolutely."
• Venus is Putrakaraka, in a trine from AK and AmK. AK-PK and AmK-PK in mutual trine is very good: recognition
• What D10 showed is enhanced by Navamsha. Venus dasha itself will solve the problem and give a good job

Sun dasha in Navamsha

• The teacher looked at Navamsha because Sun gives the 8th lord's results in D10 — changes, or even a problem as soon as he joins the new job
• Navamsha is the true protection. A planet well placed there does not bring worry
• Sun is exalted in the 11th of Navamsha and is 3rd lord. A malefic owning the 3rd is good; in the 11th, exalted, excellent

Remedy — Deity Recommendation

Lakshmi, for Venus

A student proposed Lakshmi. Reasons accepted:

• Venus is exalted in the 10th of Navamsha and is its 5th lord (recognition)
• In D10 he shows everything discussed above
• In Rashi he is the 10th lord and the ruler of the year
• Venus dasha is running

Sita-Rama — an intuitive suggestion

• Take AmK as lagna in Navamsha: Moon and Jupiter in lagna in Cancer, Venus exalted, Sun exalted. These are combinations as in Sri Ramachandra's chart
• "So there are some blessings of Rama that are visible as far as the Amatyakaraka is concerned."
• The teacher is clear: "This is not based on tradition or any classic. This is just an intuitive suggestion."
• Pray to Lakshmi, and pray to Sita-Rama during this year. Sita is a form of Lakshmi; the class notes take the exalted Venus, in a trine from Jupiter and Moon, as Sita
• Before typing the resume, take the name of Sita and Rama. Read a Rama stotra or some shlokas of Rama, then send it. Pray to Rama before the interview. Keep Sita and Rama in mind through these months

Warning on Mahavidyas

For Venus one could name Kamalatmika among the Mahavidyas. The teacher stops that.

"Mahavidyas are not for getting a job or all these trivial things. For that, pray to other forms of Devi."

• Vidya is knowledge; Mahavidya is the supreme knowledge
• How software works, how to use astrology, the meaning of the Upanishads — none of that is supreme knowledge. All of it can be learnt from books
• Supreme knowledge cannot be learnt from anybody. It comes from inside. Its absence keeps you bound; its presence liberates
• That is what a Mahavidya gives. Asking Tara or Kamalatmika for anything else is pointless
• "Don't suggest Mahavidyas for most people." They are for those on the bhakti marga who are not quite there yet. They take the person close to Moksha
• For ordinary knowledge: Durga, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Sita, Hayagriva, Shiva, Krishna can all give it
• "Just because Mahavidya has vidya in the name and somebody came to you for knowledge", do not recommend a Mahavidya
