11th house — universally favorable: "11th house is one house where any planet is favorable. 3rd and 6th are good only for malefics, but the 11th is special — even benefics are good there; any planet in the 11th shows gains and fulfillment of desires." Viparita Raj Yoga — unafflicted condition: "A Dusthana lord (6th, 8th, 12th) must occupy its own Dusthana or another Dusthana AND be unafflicted — no benefics or powerful planets in the same house. Benefics protect the person from the suffering that Viparita requires for inversion to fire; result becomes partial." Example: 6th lord Sun in 12th (Viparita condition met) but benefic Mars (9th lord) is also there = "not full yoga, only partial relief; benefic tempers the Viparita." Tithi Pravesh (TP) annual chart — key indicators: (1) TP lagna from natal lagna: 7th = marriage year; 4th = major travel or abroad; 8th = obstacles; 11th = gains/prosperity. (2) Hora Lord at year start = that year's main theme/signifier. "When TP lagna is in 7th from natal lagna AND Hora Lord is the exalted 7th lord from Navamsa = marriage year confirmed from two independent factors." D24 even-sign correction scope: "The mirror-around-Cancer correction definitely applies to D24 Siddhamsa. Whether it applies to D9 and D60 — I am not yet convinced; more research needed. Stay with current approach for D9 and D60 until confirmed." Clarification: "Planets in Cancer or Capricorn (even signs) in the Rasi chart do NOT change their D24 position in the correction — they sit on the mirror axis itself." Example: Saturn in Capricorn (even) → D24 does NOT change. Mercury in Cancer (even) → D24 changes from Libra to Aries (mirrored around Cancer).

Viparita Raja Yoga — Conditions and Tempering
Conditions for proper Viparita Raja Yoga:
- A Dusthana lord (6th, 8th, or 12th) must occupy its own Dusthana or another Dusthana
- It must be unafflicted — no benefics or powerful planets in the same house (benefics reduce the inversion of suffering needed for Viparita to fire)
When benefic is also present:
— PVNR"If a Dusthana lord is well placed in a Dusthana but a benefic planet is there too, the Viparita Raj Yoga does not fully fire. The benefic lord protects the person from the suffering that Viparita reversal requires. The result is 'partial' — some benefit, but not the full surge from the inversion."
Example: 6th lord Sun in 12th house (Viparita condition met), but Mars (9th lord = benefic) is there with Sun → "Sun is happy in 12th, but Mars being there tempers the Viparita; not a full yoga, only partial relief"
Tithi Pravesh (TP) Annual Chart — Annual Focus
Two key indicators in the annual TP chart:
- TP Lagna from natal Lagna: Which house does the annual TP lagna occupy relative to the natal lagna?
- 7th house = marriage year
- 4th house = going abroad (foreign travel)
- 8th house = setbacks or obstacle year
- 11th house = gains/prosperity year
- Hora Lord at the start of the year = ruler/significator of that year's main theme
Example from case study: Annual TP lagna in 7th from natal Scorpio lagna (Taurus TP lagna) + Hora Lord = Sun (exalted 7th lord in Navamsa for Leo Navamsa) = "both factors point to marriage in that year"
D24 Even-Sign Correction Applied
PVNR clarification (continuing from lessons 205-206):
- The corrected D24 calculation applies only to planets in even Rasi signs (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces)
- Planets in Cancer or Capricorn in the Rasi chart do NOT change position even when they are in even signs (they are on the Cancer-Capricorn axis)
- Example: Saturn in Capricorn (even sign) in Rasi → his D24 position does NOT change (Cancer-Capricorn is the mirror axis)
- Example: Mercury in Cancer (even sign) → his D24 position changes from Libra to Aries (mirrored around Cancer axis)
Scope of correction: "This definitely applies to D24 (Siddhamsa). It may also apply to D9 and D60, but those I am not yet convinced about — staying with current approach until more research is done."
