A10+A11+A4 Brilliant Combination, Arudha Parivartana & Karaka Parivartana Concept
The class reads the chart of the moment: Libra lagna with A10, A11 and A4 all in the lagna. A10 is the tangible work, A11 the tangible fulfillment of desires, A4 happiness — together, the person works happily and the work fulfils his desires, provided benefics bless the sign. A10 with A8 means hard labour; A10 with A6 means work that meets tangible enmity. The same chart has an Arudha Parivartana: A9 in the 12th and A12 (the Upapada) in the 9th, a tangible link between the two houses, so marriage increases dharma. A student then asks about parivartana between natural karakas — Jupiter in the 7th and Venus in the 5th. The teacher has never used it but finds it sensible: like two project managers each sitting on the other's project, marriage and children promote each other.
Key principle
There is an Arudha parivartana between 9th and 12th houses. That brings a link between the two houses in a tangible way. If somebody is born right now, marriage will increase the dharma of the person.

First Reading
- Many planets in the 12th: Sun, Mercury and Ketu. Lagna lord Venus in the 11th. Saturn in the 10th in Cancer.
- Someone born now: a famous person and a very good spiritualist.
- Ketu in the 12th with the lord of the 12th means the person is spiritual, period.
- Moon is at the very edge of the sign (rasi sandhi), but he is vargottama.
- Gaja Kesari: Moon and Jupiter are in the same sign but far apart. It is not the fullest yoga, but there is some yoga.
"They are pretty far, but it is better than one being here, one being in a different room. If I say something, you can at least hear."
What A11, A10 and A4 Mean
- The 11th is not just gains. It is fulfillment. The 3rd is the initiative you show, the 7th is the desire you nurture, the 11th is finally getting the desire.

A10 and A11 Together
- Whatever the person does gets fulfilled. Normally you do some work and something gets done, but your desire may not be fully met. With A10 and A11 together the desires are fulfilled because of the work.
- Condition: good planets must bless that sign. If the two are together but hammered by bad planets, it may not be good.
"It will seem as though his desires are basically granted because of all the work that he is doing."
Adding A4
- A4 there as well: whatever he does, he does happily.
"Here A10, A11, and A4 are together, brilliant. This is excellent."
Contrast
- A10 with A8: a lot of work, but with hard work and labour.
- A10 with A6: a lot of work, but it meets tangible opposition, tangible enmity.
Arudha Parivartana
Definition: the Arudha of house X is in house Y, and the Arudha of house Y is in house X.
Effect: a link between the two houses in a tangible way. The tangible manifestation of one house comes through the other.
In the chart of the class moment (Libra lagna):
- A9 (Dharma Pada) is in the 12th, Virgo. A12 is in the 9th, Gemini. That is an Arudha Parivartana between the 9th and 12th houses.
- A12 is the Upapada (UL), the arudha of marriage. It sits in the 9th house of dharma and exchanges with A9.
- So marriage increases dharma.
"If somebody is born right now, marriage will increase the dharma of the person. After marriage, there will be lot of dharma, lot of dharmic activities. So marriage is a very important thing for a person like this."
(The two arudhas follow from Mercury, lord of both the 9th and the 12th, sitting in the 12th: A12 falls in the 10th from Virgo, and A9, landing in the 7th from Gemini, also moves to the 10th from there.)
Karaka Parivartana — An Idea Raised in Class
The question: A student asks about parivartana between karakas. PVNR first checks what is meant — chara karakas (Atma Karaka in Amatya Karaka's sign and the reverse) or naisargika karakas. The student means the natural karakas of houses: the karaka of the 5th in the 1st and the karaka of the 1st in the 5th (Sun in the 5th, Jupiter in the 1st).
The answer: PVNR has never worked with it, but it makes sense to him.
"I have not done anything like that until now, but intuitively I feel that you can look at such yogas."
The analogy: two allied projects. The manager of the software project is a member of the hardware project, and the manager of the hardware project is a member of the software project. There is synergy between the two.
Example: Jupiter in the 7th and Venus in the 5th.
- The karaka of the 5th is in the 7th; the karaka of the 7th is in the 5th.
- "A kind of Raja Yoga through karaka" between the 5th and 7th houses.
- Wife and children each promote the other. Marriage promotes childbirth and good children; good children in turn make the marriage good.
