Project Manager Analogy, Libby as Advisor via Graha Arudha & 3H Malefic Argala
Project Manager Analogy for how any planet gives results: Karaka = project manager; house lord = group manager; planet in house = group member. Even if karaka (Sun) is in MKS, result can happen if group manager and members are friends with the project manager. Do NOT just go by the karaka rule. How to find any advisor in the chart: identify planet type (Moon/Mercury = political advisors; Jupiter = legal; Mars = military), take 2H from that planet, then take Graha Arudha of that house-lord = the actual person. Use that as their reference lagna. Libby (Chief of Staff): Graha Arudha of Mercury from Jupiter = Aries. From Aries: Mercury = 3L+6L in 11H (Badhakasthana for movable sign) = gain of litigation. Ketu AD = 8L in 11H with Sun = power eclipsed. 6L+8L together with 5L = no VRY. 3H Malefic Argala: 2+ malefics without benefics in 3H = gets done through bravery and willpower — strongest form of argala.
"Do not just go by the karaka rule. Karaka is like a project manager — even if he is weak, the project can still succeed if the team is committed and friends with each other."
— P.V.R. Narasimha Rao
Example Chart
Graha Arudha of 9L — Seeing the Boss in D10
- 9H from D10 lagna shows the boss/mentor providing career guidance
- 9H from Scorpio D10 = Cancer; 9th lord = Moon
- Graha Arudha of 9L (Moon) = L9 falls in Pisces
- Take Pisces as reference lagna for the boss (George W. Bush)
- Current Ve-Me AD: Mercury is Badhakesha for the boss (Mercury = Badhaka lord from Pisces)
- Mercury is in 12H from Pisces = boss's Badhaka worries will go away (12H dissipates Badhaka)
- "The boss has inexplicable worries, lot of problems in career, but they will diminish in this period"
Libby (Chief of Staff) — Analysis as Cheney's Advisor
How to Find Libby in the Chart
- Libby = Chief of Staff = collects input from all advisors, consolidates for VP
- He is an advisor resource → 2H from Jupiter (Jupiter = wisdom counselor karaka)
- 2H from Jupiter's position = Virgo; Virgo lord = Mercury
- Graha Arudha of Mercury (2L from Jupiter) = Aries
- Take Aries as Libby's reference lagna
From Aries Lagna — Mercury AD:
- Mercury = 3L + 6L for Aries
- Mercury in 11H from Aries = Badhakasthana for Aries (movable sign → 11L = Badhaka)
- 6L in Badhakasthana = link between 6H (enemies, litigation) and Badhaka (inexplicable troubles)
- "If there is a link between 6H and Badhakasthana, it is always bad"
- Further: 6L in 11H = gain of litigation = litigation increases, grows more complicated
From Aries — Ketu AD:
- Ketu = 8L in 11H for Aries = even worse than Mercury AD
- "8L makes you worry more than 6L; 6L you can fight, 8L gives severe anxiety"
- Sun (5L = power) is also there → 6L (Mercury) and 8L (Ketu) destroy Sun's house of power
- "Power of his followers will be eclipsed especially in Ketu period"
- Without Sun there: Mercury+Ketu as 6L+8L in 11H = VRY (Raj Yoga); but Sun is there, blocking it
- "If you have dusthana lord along with a kendra or trikona lord, there is no Raj Yoga"
- Verdict: 2007-2008: Libby loses power, position; people desert him
Pattern:
- Mercury period: Libby fights but things drag on; litigation grows
- Ketu period (2007-08): Libby's power eclipsed; followers desert him
- Meanwhile: Cheney himself rising (good 2007-08)
How Any Planet Gives Results — The Project Manager Analogy
This is a fundamental doctrine PVNR teaches with multiple examples:
The Three-Level Check:
- Karaka = "Project Manager" for a given result (e.g., Sun for power)
- House lord = "Group Manager" (lord of the house the karaka occupies)
- The planet doing the job = "Group member"
For a result to happen:
- Ideally all three cooperate
- But even if the project manager (karaka/Sun) is weak/in MKS, the result CAN still happen if:
- The group members are dedicated (strong planets aspecting/in the house of desired result)
- The group manager (dispositor) cooperates
- The group members are friends with both the group manager and the project manager
- The group manager and project manager are in communication (one in other's sign, or together)
Example — 2000 TP: Can Cheney Get Power Despite Sun in MKS?
- Sun (karaka for power) = in Mangarakasthana (MKS) in 2000 TP
- But: Mars + Ketu (in Jupiter's house) → group manager = Jupiter; Jupiter and Mars are friends
- Mars is friend of Sun (the project manager)
- Jupiter is with Sun in the TP → "project manager and group manager are together, talking constantly"
- Rasi Drishti from Sun on 5H = even though weak, Sun is still looking at the house of power
- Result: "When I am in my friend's house and project manager is also my buddy, whatever I want to do, the work gets done"
- Lesson: "Do NOT just go by the karaka rule. Karaka is like a project manager — even if he is weak, the project can still succeed if the team is committed."
Checking If Litigation Ends in the Person's Favor:
- Does the fight-ending planet fall in a positive house from Arudha Lagna (not just Lagna)?
- Example: Mars (6L/fight ender) in 7H from D10 lagna = internally, fire extinguished
- BUT from AL: Mars in 10H = world sees the person as winner/warrior
- From A6 (enemies' Arudha): Mars in 12H = enemies are giving up/losing
- Conclusion: Favorable end + enemies losing
Argala — 3H Malefic Argala
Revisited in this lesson:
- 2H Argala: Gets done through resources
- 4H Argala: Gets done through direction/comfort
- 11H Argala: Gets done through desire/fulfillment
- 3H Argala (malefics only): Gets done through strong initiative and willpower
- "You get it done with bravery — the 3rd house is courage"
- Especially powerful when there are 2, 3, or 4 malefics in 3H with no benefics
- "If there are only malefics in 3H without any benefics, that Argala is very strong"
- Example: Mars + Ketu (2 malefics) in 3H from Libra (5H of power) → Argala on 5H = power given through bold action, fighting
