Narayana Dasha — Introduction

Narayana Dasha: a sign-based (Rashi) dasha that shows what is actually happening on the ground — reality vs. Vimshottari's mind perception. Available for every Varga chart (Rashi, Navamsa, Dasamsa). Applied to a student chart: the marriage falls in Aquarius dasha, Aries antardasha of the Navamsa Narayana Dasha.

Vimshottari Dasha is mind's perception. This dasha is what is really happening on the ground from the point of view of the Narayana within you who does not have emotions. So this is the reality in your life.

  • Marriage in late 1989 → Navamsa Narayana Dasha: Aquarius dasha, Aries antardasha
  • Aquarius = 7th from UL (Upapada Lagna) and has Argala on lagna → marriage confirmed
  • This also settles the Navamsa lagna: from Capricorn, Aquarius is the 2nd (Argala on lagna); from Sagittarius it has neither Argala nor drishti on lagna or 7H
  • When Vimshottari doesn't cleanly explain an event, Narayana Dasha should — it is the dasha of what actually happens
