The 2006–07 Annual Chart — Trilochana Yoga

• Hora lord Mercury — ruler of the year.
• Rāśi: Scorpio lagna. Mars, Mercury and Saturn in Cancer. Ghati Lagna in Aries, the 6th.
• Daśāṁśa: Aries lagna. Sun, Moon and Mars in Scorpio (8th). Jupiter in Pisces (12th). Saturn in Leo. Venus and Ketu in Gemini with AL. A9, A10 and A4 in Pisces. A5 in Scorpio.

A Student's Reading

• GL in the 6th from the ascendant is very bad for power, so the student called it a very bad year.
• PVNR set this against the natal base: the antardaśā of Jupiter–Mars begins in January 2007 and falls inside this annual chart.

Trilochana Yoga

• Sun, Moon and Mars in mutual trines is Trilochana yoga. Here all three are in one sign, in the daśāṁśa.
• Trilochana is the three-eyed one, Shiva.
• Results: victorious over enemies, wealthy, intelligent — destroys enemies. It is a yoga like the Jaya yoga of his natal daśāṁśa.
• It is in Scorpio, a war-like Martian sign where Mars is very strong.
• For Aries lagna the three are the lagna lord (Mars), the 4th lord (Moon) and the 5th lord (Sun): a raja yoga as well.
• It is in the 8th house, so it can come suddenly, not as something slowly thought out.

"This is a Raj yoga not for peace. This is a Raj yoga that makes him go to war."

3rd and 6th from AL

• AL (Gemini) has Venus and Ketu.
• The 3rd from AL has Saturn. The 6th from AL has Sun, Moon and Mars. Moon is the only benefic, and he is debilitated, so he acts as a malefic.
• Strong malefic influence on the 3rd and 6th: after the laid-back 2005–06, an aggressive year.

A9, A10 and A4 in the 12th — Vimana Yoga

• A student pointed to A9 in the 12th. PVNR: A9, A10 and A4 are all there — the tangible fortune, the tangible work and the tangible happiness. Together in one sign, their destinies are linked, and their being together is usually a raja yoga.
• Jupiter is with them. The 12th house is counted bad, but the 12th lord in the 12th house is a good yoga, called Vimana yoga.
• The published class notes give the name as Vimala yoga, the usual name for the 12th lord in the 12th.
• From AL Jupiter is in the 10th.
• A student asked about Jupiter being retrograde. Retrogression shows a strong desire the planet is trying to fulfil: something he wanted to give in past years or a past life and could not. He gives it this year, with a lot of effort.
• So something fortunate may come in the Jupiter period of this year. "Jupiter being in Vimana yoga with all those Arudhas is not that bad."

Popularity — A5 in the 8th

• For following across all strata of society, see A5 — not the 5th from some planet.
• A5 in the 8th: the following is volatile, with many ups and downs.
• Is the 8th good here? It holds its own lord and the raja yoga of lagna, 4th and 5th lords. It is very auspicious: fighting and setbacks, met with bravery. Popularity can rise suddenly through the aggressive things he does.
• Moon is the 4th lord and the karaka of happiness, debilitated in the 8th, his marana karaka sthana. No happiness at all.

"He is always shaking inside, not outside. Inside he is shaking — man, why did I get into this?"

• From AL the debilitated Moon is in the 6th. To the outside he is a great warrior destroying evil.

Timing Across Two Annual Charts

• The natal Jupiter–Moon antardaśā (December 2005 – January 2007) overlaps two annual charts.
• The 2006–07 chart shows nothing peaceful. The 2005–06 daśāṁśa has Gajakesari in the 11th house of fulfilment. So the good event comes before the birthday, in the first half of 2006.
• The aggressive action waits for Jupiter–Mars: after January 2007, in spring or summer 2007, before this annual chart ends.
• PVNR will not time it closer: "maybe Saturn dasha, maybe 2007 February, March." The Saturn period of the year looks aggressive; in the Jupiter period, with Jupiter in the 12th, he is more relaxed.
• PVNR's fear: 2007 destabilises the world, and the "true George Bush legacy" is made in these two years — the first through some good move, the second through hostility and instability.

The 2007–08 Annual Chart

A quick look only. The time was not read out; the site casts it at June 22, 2007, 3:43:51 PM (New Haven), which reproduces the class.

• Hora lord Saturn. Rāśi lagna Libra. Saturn at 27° and Venus at 21° of Cancer, the 10th house.
• Saturn is the yogakaraka for Libra and is in the 10th. "For Shani especially, 10th house or 1st house" is a good placement. The class notes name it simhasana yoga: Saturn in the 1st or the 10th. A raja yoga by Saturn himself and by Saturn with Venus (lagna lord).
• Saturn is the Atmakaraka and Venus the Amatyakaraka, together in the 10th. "So this is a glorious year."
• Daśāṁśa (Capricorn lagna): parivartana between the lagna lord Saturn and the 12th lord Jupiter. That does not show fighting wars. It shows finishing the war — cleaning up and closure.
• A5 is in the 3rd (Pisces). Its lord Jupiter is in lagna, the 11th from A5, and Mars is well placed in the 3rd from A5. The following is not bad.
• Conclusion: even if he is disliked through 2007, he may take up big projects and leave on a very good note. The low popularity at the time of the class is a short-term thing.

Homework — Dick Cheney

• Cheney's chart is put off to a later class. Homework, to be discussed on the mailing list: people close to him are getting into trouble — is there a chance Cheney himself gets into legal trouble? "Probably not imprisonment, but any legal problems."
• Birth data: January 30, 1941, 7:30 PM, 6 hours west of GMT, Lincoln, Nebraska. 96°46'40" W, 40°48' N.
• Lagna: 9°53' Leo. Moon at the very end of Aquarius.
• PVNR had looked at this chart when he predicted Bush's re-election; the basic facts fit, "so probably this is right."
