D9 Narayana Dasha for Husband's Fortune & D7 Paka ND for Children
D9 (Navamsa) Narayana Dasha for seeing the spouse's own life events: take 7H of D9 as spouse's lagna, run ND from the stronger of 7H and its 7th. Events in PVNR's life confirmed through his wife's D9 ND. D7 (Saptamsha) "Paka ND" for children: how to identify when each child arrives and what life they will lead from the parent's D7 ND. Commentary on nimittas (omens during consultation) and how to treat them — they are meaningful but should not override chart analysis.
"You can see the husband's fortune from the wife's D-9 Narayana Dasha. Take the 7th house as his lagna and run Narayana Dasha from there."
— P.V.R. Narasimha Rao
Example Chart
D-9 ND — Fortune of Husband (from Wife's Chart)
To see what happens to the husband specifically:
How to Set It Up
Method 1 (Standard): Take 9th lord of Rasi → where is he in D-9 → that sign as lagna → Navamsa ND (shows how dharma is upheld in marriage)
Method 2 (Relationship): Take 7th lord of Rasi → where is he in D-9 → stronger of that and its 7th → start ND from there (shows how RELATIONSHIP progresses from the native's perspective)
Method 3 (Husband's fortunes directly): Take the 7th house of D-9 itself → stronger of 7H and Lagna → that is the husband's lagna in D-9
For this chart: 7th house of D-9 = Aries; Aries is stronger vs Libra → start dasha from Aries
Leo Dasha (from Aries-lagna D-9 ND)
- Leo = 5th house from Aries lagna
- Contains: Jupiter (in AL from Aries lagna = A7 becomes AL when Aries is lagna) and A7
- AL in 5th house = good for image; 5th house = recognition of abilities
Applying 3-Parts (Leo = Sirshodaya):
- 1st slot (Leo itself): 5th house with AL → good, recognition, abilities prominent; strong positive period
- 2nd slot (Sun's results): Sun is lord of Leo, placed in 8H from Aries lagna
- Sun = malefic → avastha first (not good — close to debilitation; in Aries-friendly but moderate)
- 2nd quarter = yogas: 5L in 8H brings occult connection; recognition from occult work possible
- 3rd quarter = 5th lordship: great period for husband (boosts image and lordship of abilities)
- 4th quarter = 8H placement: retirement or career change possible; some strain
- 3rd slot (Jupiter and Saturn): Jupiter in Leo (from this ND perspective) = good recognition, Raj Yoga energy
D-7 Paka ND — Fortune of Individual Children
To see the fortune of a specific child (1st child, 2nd child, etc.):
Which Dasha: Paka (Pathana) Narayana Dasha
- For D-3 (Drekkana) = siblings; for D-7 (Saptamsa) = children: use Paka (Pathana) ND
- Paka ND: Instead of counting from the sign to the lagna to find dasha years, count from lagna to the sign (reversed)
- In software: select Paka (Pathana) Narayana Dasha variant
Why Paka ND for D-3 and D-7?
Because for siblings (D-3) and children (D-7), we take the lord of the house (not the controlling house's lord) as the "lagna" for that person. The lord itself becomes the starting point.
Process for 2nd Child
- 2nd child = 7th from 5th = 11th house
- 11th lord (say Mars) is in Scorpio
- Take Scorpio as lagna in D-7
- Find stronger of Scorpio and its 7th (Taurus) → typically Scorpio if it has planets
- Start Paka ND from Scorpio
- Apply 3-Parts Rule to analyze what happens to the 2nd child
