Gems Useless for Major Karma (Even Diamond Risky = Venus Maraka in D30); Ugra Narasimha = Correct Remedy (Scorpio+Mercury+Rahu → Mars Deity in Fierce Form); 8-Day Homa Tuesday; Soft Devata = Slow+Safe; Fierce = Fast+Spillover; Mantra: Desire+Mantra Coexist = Karma Burns; Karma Transfer = Astrologer Takes Small Part
Gem advice refusal: "For major karma — 8L Mercury in 12H with Rahu-Ketu + Gulika in D30 — buying a $5000 gem cannot postpone it. Even meditation or homa needs huge effort. And wrong gem can aggravate." Why diamond risky: Venus = Lagna lord but in D30 (Simhamsa) Venus is Maraka; suggesting diamond = may quicken death. Correct approach: propitiate ACTIVE dasha planets (Mercury, Rahu) via their deity. Deity selection logic: Mercury = Vaishnava planet; Rahu in Scorpio (Martian sign) + Mercury = fierce form needed not gentle Vishnu; Scorpio → Mars → Narasimha; fierce + Rahu = Ugra Narasimha. Mantra (32-syllable, revealed by Shiva to Parvati): "Ugram Viram Maha Vishnum Jvalantam Sarvato Mukham / Nrisimham Bhishanam Bhadram Mrityu Mrityum Namamyaham" (I bow to the death of death). Alternative: Sudarshana Homa. Ritual: 8-day continuous homa (8 = 8th lord Mercury); start or end on Tuesday (Mars day for Narasimha); several lakh mantra repetitions; family members should chant — their desire for recovery will direct the energy. Soft vs fierce devata: soft (gentle Vishnu) = removes bad karma slowly, fruit by rotten fruit, very safe, no spillover, may be too slow for emergency; fierce (Ugra Narasimha, Chandi, Hanuman) = removes karma quickly but "spillover — those doing sadhana get fever or minor illness; bear it, it is better than not doing." Mantra mechanism: "Desire (person should get well) + mantra must coexist in mind with no other thought. Even a few seconds of this can do anything — that is what rishis do." Karma transfer: "When astrologer focuses intensely on curing someone, they take on small part of the karma. I got a big cramp in my foot at that moment — confirmed this mantra is right, energy was already moving." Rahu-Ketu note: "Cure can come through pathbreaking experimental medicine — keep mind open." Priests typically fail because mind wanders — for a few seconds of perfect focus, even with attachment (wanting loved one to survive), powerful results are possible.
"For a small karma, a gem or a simple prayer may work. But for a karma like this — 8th lord Mercury in the 12th with Rahu-Ketu, Gulika in D30 lagna — you cannot buy relief. This is a huge deal. When I identified Ugra Narasimha as the right mantra, I immediately got a cramp in my foot. That is because when an astrologer focuses on helping somebody, they take on some small part of the karma. The cramp confirmed it. Energy was already moving."

Example Chart
Prognosis and Hope
Overall assessment: Very negative. Critical period is June 2010 to June 2011 (Rahu-Ketu period).
Slim chance:
- If survives the June-July 2010 peak danger
- If survives till Venus Antardasha (after ~July 2011)
- Venus = Lagna lord who "will not kill — he will save the person"
- Annual chart 2010 (from August 14, 2010) has Venus as year ruler — "this seems a lot better" than 2009 chart
— PVNR"From 2010 June till 2011 June end is most critical period, Maraka period. He survives that, from 2011 July onwards he can recover. Venus can give recovery. So there is some slim chance of survival."
Why earlier astrologers missed it: They did not check (a) planetary longitudes to determine actual house placement, (b) Gulika, (c) Chandra Lagna Maraka, (d) D30 analysis, (e) quantitative aspects.
Remedy Analysis
Gems: Completely inadvisable.
— PVNR"This is a major karma. Mercury, Rahu, Ketu, Gulika in Scorpio in D30. Do you think that just by buying a gem — maybe $1,000 or $5,000 — you can postpone such a big karma? Even meditation or homa needs huge effort. And if you miss something and suggest a bad gem, it may even aggravate."
Why Venus gem (diamond) is also risky: "In D30 (Simhamsa), Venus is Maraka. You suggest diamond thinking Lagna lord will protect, but in Simhamsa he is Maraka — it may quicken death."
Correct remedy approach: Propitiate the active dasha planets (Mercury, Rahu) by invoking their appropriate deity.
Choice of deity:
- Mercury = Vishnu avatar (Mercury is a Vaishnava planet)
- Rahu in Scorpio (Martian sign) + Mercury = fierce form needed, not gentle Vishnu
- Scorpio = Mars → Mars deity = Narasimha
- Narasimha + fierce = Ugra Narasimha (not the soft form)
Primary recommendation: Ugra Narasimha worship + Ugram Viram mantra
Mantra (32-syllable Narayana Padamantra, revealed by Shiva to Parvati):
— PVNR"Ugram Viram Maha Vishnum Jvalantam Sarvato Mukham / Nrisimham Bhishanam Bhadram Mrityu Mrityum Namamyaham"
(Translation: "The fierce, valiant Maha Vishnu blazing on all sides, Narasimha the terrifying and auspicious, I bow to the death of death.")
Alternative: Sudarshana Homa (many people know the procedure; Sudarshana = fierce Vishnu form)
Ritual prescription:
- 8-day continuous Homa (8 = relates to 8th lord Mercury)
- Start on Tuesday OR end on Tuesday
- Mantra count: several lakh repetitions (not a few hundred)
- Family members (wife, parents) should chant this mantra themselves — their desire (wanting the person to live) will direct the mantra's energy
PVNR Teaching — Karma, Sadhana, and Remedy
On gem vs. worship for serious karma:
— PVNR"For small karma, a gem or a simple prayer may work. But for a major karma like this — 8th lord Mercury in 12th with Rahu-Ketu + Gulika afflicting Lagna in D30 — you cannot buy relief. This is a huge deal."
On why priests often fail:
— PVNR"Most priests are incapable of transferring results to somebody else. Even if they generate some result, their mind is not on the person — they are thinking about how many more repetitions are left. For a mantra to work: the desire (person should get well) and the mantra must coexist in the mind with no other thought. If you can achieve this even for a few seconds, you can do anything. That is what rishis do."
On karma transfer — personal experience:
— PVNR"When I was giving this session and I finally identified Ugra Narasimha mantra as the right one, I immediately got a big cramp in my foot. That is because when an astrologer focuses on helping somebody, they take on some small part of the karma. The cramp confirmed that this mantra is the right one — energy was already moving."
On soft vs. fierce devatas:
| Devata type | Method | Result | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Soft devata (Vishnu in gentle form) | Takes away bad karma carefully, rotten fruit by rotten fruit | Slow, very safe, no spillover | May be too slow for emergency |
| Fierce devata (Ugra Narasimha, Chandi, Hanuman) | Removes bad karma quickly, in a hurry | Fast result | "Spillover" — some small suffering comes to those doing the sadhana (fever, minor illness) |
— PVNR"When doing sadhana for another person with the desire that they be well, you may get a fever or some small disease. It won't be fatal, but some suffering is needed. It is better than not doing. Like reaching the good fruit — in the process, some rotten fruit pieces may spill on the floor. Bear it."
On Rahu-Ketu and pathbreaking medicine:
— PVNR"When Rahu and Ketu are involved, cure can come through pathbreaking medicines or new technologies. Keep minds open to experimental treatments."
On attachment in sadhana:
— PVNR"Even with attachment (wanting your son to survive), you can do this effectively — as long as desire + mantra are both in the mind and no other thoughts. Perfect focus is for rishis; we can aspire for a few seconds of it. That is enough to create something."
