D7 Saptamsha Children Analysis — Sex Determination, Conception & Birth Timing
D7 sex determination: check D7 lagna sign (odd→count 5th forward, even→count 5th backward); Ketu/Rahu in lagna reverses direction. Sex from 5th house lord: if lord in odd sign or with male planets (Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Rahu) = boy; even sign or female planets (Moon, Venus, Ketu) = girl; Saturn/Mercury = girl-leaning. Parivartana involving lagna in D7 reverses sex of all children. PVNR's admission: ~80% accurate for sex prediction — confirmed wrong in this chart. Children timing 2005 annual D7: Mars (5L) exalted in lagna = strong child signal. Venus dasha = conception August 2005 confirmed. Children timing 2006 annual D7: Putra Sahama in Pisces with Jupiter in own sign = strong. Jupiter dasha April 26–June 27 = birth window. Result: conception Aug 2005, child born May-June 2006 (boy, confirmed). Karaka in own Arudha = very powerful (Moon in A4 = maximum relief/comfort).
"Predicting the sex of a child is only right about 80% of the time. There are missing links. I was wrong in this chart — analysis said girl but it was a boy. We keep working to understand more."

Example Chart
Children Analysis — D7 Saptamsha
Sex of First Child — D7 Rules
- Look at D7 Lagna: If odd sign → count 5th house forward to find first child; if even sign → count 5th house backward
- Exception (Ketu/Rahu in lagna): Reverses the direction
- Sex determination: From the house showing first child, take its lord; see the sign that lord occupies
- Odd sign = boy; even sign = girl
- Male planets with lord = boy: Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Rahu
- Female planets = girl: Moon, Venus, Ketu
- Saturn, Mercury = eunuch/girl-leaning
Parivartana exception: If parivartana involves lagna, reverse sex of all children.
PVNR's admission: "Predicting the sex of a child is only right about 80% of the time. There are missing links. Even I was wrong in this chart — analysis said girl but ultrasound showed boy."
Children Timing — 2005 and 2006
Annual TP 2005 (D7):
- Mars (hora lord) exalted in D7 lagna
- Mars = 5th lord exalted in lagna of D7 = "very strong — something happening related to children"
- Venus (same dasha as job change): 5th lord and yogakaraka in 9th house of D7 = "fortunate news related to children in Venus dasha"
- Conclusion: "Conception possible in Venus dasha (August-September 2005)"
Annual TP 2006 (D7):
- Hora Lord = Saturn
- Putra Sahama in Pisces; Jupiter = Putra Sahama lord
- D7 5th house for first child: Aquarius lagna → count forward 5 = Gemini (D7 2005); in 2006 chart it shows Pisces with Jupiter
- "Pisces with Jupiter = lagna for first child — lagna must be strong for child to be born"
- Lagna strong with Jupiter in own sign = "definite chance of childbirth May-June 2006"
- Jupiter dasha in ATP 2006 = "April 26 to June 27 = the window"
Result: Conception confirmed in August 2005 (Venus dasha), pregnancy confirmed early October 2005, child born May-June 2006 (Jupiter dasha). Child was a boy (our calculation said girl — rule was wrong in this case).
Core Astrological Principles Taught
| Principle | Rule |
|---|---|
| Artha Trikonas (D10) stronger | Service/employment career |
| Kama Trikonas (D10) stronger | Business career |
| 8th lord in 7th house | Career ending combination |
| Eclipse (Moon/Sun + Rahu/Ketu) in annual chart | Always serious; more pronounced than in natal |
| Moon eclipsed with bad agenda | Doubles the harm |
| Moon eclipsed with good agenda | Good results suppressed |
| "Terrible dasha must give its results" | If Moon-Rahu is terrible, don't predict job in Moon-Jupiter before it |
| A8 with other Arudhas | Poisons/weakens those arudhas |
| UL lord near Vivaha Sahama | Auspicious for marriage |
| 7th lord in Kama Trikona (D9) | Good for marriage |
| 8th or 3rd lord in 10th house | Can give job change |
| 6th lord in D10 10th house | Service agenda (not break) |
| Karaka in own Arudha | Very powerful signal (e.g., Moon in A4) |
| Fast on A10 lord's day | Helps career (just as UL lord's day fast helps marriage) |
| Astrologer's personal mantra | More effective if astrologer has personal sadhana of it |
| Common sense + astrology | Use common sense to narrow timing windows |
PVNR's Personal Reflection
"Astrology is not a deterministic science. It is a probabilistic, fuzzy science. You list all positives, list all negatives, balance them, and find what is more likely. That is where intuition, situational sense, and practice are needed."
"Unless you make 200 bad predictions, you will not be good. And always — no matter how many correct predictions you make — there is something missing. If we keep working on it, the next generation will be placed better than we are."
