D20 Spiritual, Physical Appearance, D6 Health During Dashas & D2 Hora

D20 (Vimsamsa) spiritual attainment: which deity is worshipped and at what level of devotion. Karakamsa (AK sign in D9) showing spiritual inclination. Physical appearance from Rasi chart: lagna sign + LL placement + planets in lagna determine body type and features — confirmed as a practical verification tool for birth time accuracy. Ayurvedic constitution (Prakriti) from planetary dominance. D6 health during specific dashas. D2 (Hora) for financial analysis — how wealth flows.

"Physical characteristics are a wonderful verification tool. If your birth time is right, the physical appearance described by the chart should match."

Vimsamsa (D-20) — Spiritual Attainment and Deity

Atmakaraka in Lagna — The Supreme Blessing

If the Atmakaraka (AK) is in the Lagna of any amsha chart, God comes to that person in the domain of that amsha.

AmshaLagnaDomainMeaning
D20 (Vimsamsa)AK in lagnaSpiritualitySpiritual growth comes effortlessly; deeply blessed in spiritual pursuit
D24 (Siddhamsa)AK in lagnaLearningLearning is a gift; knowledge comes with ease; great scholar
D16 (Shodasamsa)AK in lagnaComfortsComforts and luxuries flow naturally
D9 (Navamsa)AK in lagnaDharma"Born as a king" (Parashara) — great wealth and resources put to good use; very blessed in dharma and karma

"I have my Atmakaraka Moon in my lagna in Siddhamsa, so learning came so easily to me. By the age of 10, I was a BA in Sanskrit. It came — everything came so easily to me. I was very blessed in learning." — PVNR

— PVNR

In the student's D-20: AK = Moon; Moon is in Lagna (Pisces) in Vimsamsa → spiritual growth comes naturally, effortlessly

Maha Raj Yoga in Vimsamsa

  • Moon (AK) in Lagna + Jupiter (Lagna lord of Pisces) in 7H aspecting lagna + Moon = 5L (5H of devotion)
  • Lagna lord + AK + 5th lord all in Raj Yoga on the lagna axis = Brilliant Maha Raj Yoga
  • "Combinations of Lagna Lord, Atmakaraka, and 5th lord of devotion in a Raj Yoga on the Lagna axis is a brilliant Maha Raj Yoga."

    — PVNR
  • Conclusion: He is a very genuine spiritual person; will become important in spiritual organization

Which Deity? — 5H and 2H in Vimsamsa

5th house in Vimsamsa = the specific deity you have deep personal attachment to; the God you love most

  • Moon (5L here, also in lagna, Pisces) → Krishna (Moon in Pisces = sattvic, peaceful, devotional deity; Moon = Krishna's special grace)
  • Sun in 5H → Shiva or Rama (Sun is fiery, authoritative)
  • Pisces can also show Jagannath (another form of Vishnu/Krishna)

2nd house in Vimsamsa = Kula Devata — the family deity, inherited from generations

  • 2H = Aries with Mars + Venus → fiery, dynamic deity, not a pure sattvic deity
  • Mars = Hanuman, Veerabhadra, Subrahmanya (fiery heroes, warrior deities)
  • Confirmed: Student's Kula Devata = Veerabhadra (son of Shiva) ✓

"Kula Devata is in the 2nd house. Whichever planets are strongly influencing the 2nd house, they show which god your family has traditionally worshipped."

— PVNR

Saturn Dasha in Vimsamsa

  • Saturn is in 12H in Vimsamsa, in Aquarius (own sign) at Moolatrikona → Vimala Yoga (Vipreeta Raj Yoga variant — 6L in 12H, also in own sign in dusthana)
  • 8H and 12H in Vimsamsa are the most important houses for spiritual experiences
  • Saturn in 12H = deep spiritual experiences, tapasya, renunciation experiences possible
  • Both Badhaka planets (Rahu + Saturn) are in 12H in Rasi chart → all inexplicable tensions will come to an end during Saturn Dasha
  • In Rasi: Saturn is Badhaka and is in 12H → good; any inexplicable worries are resolved

Dasamsa (D-10) — Image and Career Rise

AL and Arudha Lagna Rules in D-10

Planets in 9H from AL = protect and elevate the image; person's status is secured Planets in 6H from AL = bad for image; person looks like a loser, lazy, not ambitious (even if internally growing)

In Jupiter Dasha: Jupiter is in 6H from AL in D-10 → person looks laid-back, relaxed, not a high achiever materially. "He looks like a loser from the material point of view." But Jupiter is also in 9H from Lagna → well-protected internally.

Saturn is in 9H from AL → during Saturn Dasha, his status will rise, image will be protected and elevated.

D-10 Dasamsa (Dikpala) Amsha for Career Direction

  • Jupiter in Ananta amsha in D-10 → karma directed toward spirituality, upward orientation, moksha focus. During Jupiter Dasha: not materially ambitious but spiritually advancing.
  • Saturn in Indra amsha in D-10 → material power, authority, rise in career. During Saturn Dasha: material success, becoming a big shot in career.

Combined analysis for Saturn Dasha:

  • Saturn in 9H from AL (image rises) + Saturn in Indra amsha (power/authority) + Vipreeta Raj Yoga (6L in 12H) + Badhaka in 12H (tensions end) = great rise in career and status during Saturn Dasha (starting ~2016)

"In my judgment, Saturn will rise to great heights in your career. You will become some big shot. It may not happen as soon as Saturn begins — Saturn is slow. But within his dasha, I think you will rise to great heights."

— PVNR

Physical Appearance and Ayurvedic Constitution

Pitta/Kapha/Vata from Lagna

Rules that always work:

  • Bald head / thin hair = strong Pitta; Mars or Sun influencing lagna
  • Big eyes = strong Venus; Venus in lagna, aspecting lagna, or owning lagna
  • Very fat, stocky, lustrous hair = strong Kapha; Jupiter or Venus in lagna, watery/earthy signs
  • Very thin, emaciated = strong Vata; Saturn dominant in chart

"If you see somebody having Jupiter or Venus in lagna, and lagna being a Kapha-Tattva sign, they have a lot of strong Kapha. Those people are well-built, very fat, very stocky, and have very thick, beautiful, lustrous hair."

— PVNR

"Pitta people are athletic — not too fat, not too thin. They tend NOT to have a lot of hair. That is a strong hallmark of Pitta people."

— PVNR

Aries Lagna specific: Round face (like a circle); strong Pitta from Mars + Sun influence.

Rules that don't always work: Specific face shape for each Rasi sign (interesting but not reliable).

Prakriti vs. Vikriti

Prakriti = inherent constitutional nature (from birth, from Rasi chart and Lagna)
Vikriti = temporary change in constitution caused by dashas and transits

"Diseases come from Vikriti, not Prakriti. The goal of an Ayurvedic doctor is to restore the Prakriti — remove the Vikriti."

— PVNR

Even though a person is 90% Pitta (Prakriti), they can get Kapha-related diseases during certain dashas if a Kapha planet (Jupiter, Venus) is the dusthana lord and links to the lagna. This is Vikriti — a temporary departure from their nature.

Disease-Producing Planetary Connections

Any planet that creates a link between a Dusthana and the Lagna = brings disease to the body

  • 6L in Lagna → disease
  • 8L in Lagna → disease
  • 8L aspecting Lagna → disease
  • Any planet in 8H that aspects Lagna → disease

In student's chart: Venus in 8H aspecting Lagna → Kapha-related problems possible (Venus = Kapha, reproductive) even though his constitution is Pitta.

Blood Pressure from Chart

  • High Blood Pressure = Pitta problem; Pitta-related planets (Sun, Mars) afflicting Moon → high BP
  • Low Blood Pressure = Vata problem; Vata planet (Saturn primarily) afflicting Moon → low BP
  • "Saturn is Vata-type" → Saturn as 8L afflicting Moon → low BP
  • Confirmed: Student already has low BP ✓

D-6 Health Analysis During Dashas

Jupiter Dasha (current)

  • Jupiter = 6L + 9L in D6
  • Being 6L = can give diseases; being 9L = protects
  • Rahu and Ketu are in 6H of D6 → they want to give diseases more than Jupiter does
  • Net result: Some health problems, but not severe or terrible. Not a great health period but not alarming.

Saturn Dasha (upcoming)

  • Saturn = 8L in D6 in 9H, afflicting lagna lord Moon
  • 8L in D6 afflicting lagna lord = concerning
  • Moon will try to protect but Saturn will cause some defeat
  • Moon = blood tissue → Saturn afflicting Moon → blood-related problems
  • Specifically: Low BP (Saturn = Vata) afflicting Moon = likely to get worse in Saturn Dasha
  • Mental: Moon + Saturn in D6 = possible depression; lack of enthusiasm; detachment
  • Severe cases (when Saturn + Moon in D30 Trimshamsa also): Can even show suicidal tendency — no joy in life, complete detachment

"Not in this case, but in some cases when you see Saturn with Moon in Shashtamsa or D30 Trimshamsa, you can even expect suicidal tendencies. Basically no enthusiasm in life."

— PVNR

"Sometimes a lot of spirituality also makes you become depressed. The spiritual sadhana can cause more detachment and depression."

— PVNR

Advice: Watch blood pressure carefully during Saturn Dasha. Take foods that don't increase Vata. Don't aggravate the mind.

D-2 (Hora) for Financial Analysis

Key Rules in Hora Chart

  • 2H = property, wealth resources (V is 2L in Lagna in D2 = good wealth when Venus dasha comes)
  • Planet in MKS in D2 = that house's protection or function is withdrawn
    • 9L in MKS = financial PROTECTION withdrawn → financial anxiety, tight situations
    • 12L in MKS = cannot SPEND as freely as desired → restrained spending
  • Badhaka in 12H of D2 = financial tensions come to an end; inexplicable financial worries cease
  • 11L in 12H of D2 = earns a lot but spends it freely; without anxiety (if Badhaka is also in 12H, spending is without pain)

In Jupiter Dasha: Jupiter (9L and 12L) is in MKS (3H) in D2 → 9L in MKS = protection withdrawn from finances = tight situations, anxiety, managing but not comfortable.

In Saturn Dasha: Saturn (10L and 11L) is in 12H in D2; Saturn is also Badhaka in 12H → financial stability, relaxed spending, earns a lot, spends without anxiety.

Sunrise Definition — PVNR's Position

PVNR explains his definitive position on the sunrise definition used for computing Ghatika Lagna, Hora Lagna, and other special lagnas.

Three Definitions in Software

  1. Tip of Sun's disc on the eastern horizon (topmost point first touches horizon)
  2. Center of Sun's disc on the eastern horizon (PVNR's choice)
  3. First visible ray of sunlight (refraction-based) — Sanjayji's method

Why PVNR Uses Definition 2 (Center of Sun)

At the moment of sunrise using definition 2 (center of Sun at horizon):

  • Lagna = exact longitude of Sun (lagna is the eastern horizon, Sun is exactly there)
  • Ghatika Lagna = exact longitude of Sun (starts where Sun is)
  • Hora Lagna = exact longitude of Sun (starts where Sun is)

All three — Lagna, GL, HL — are at the exact same point at sunrise. They then move away from the Sun at different speeds:

  • GL moves at 5× the speed of Lagna
  • HL moves at 2× the speed of Lagna

This creates perfect symmetry: everything starts together and then diverges.

"There is a certain symmetry. With my definition, at the time of sunrise, Lagna will be exactly where Sun is because lagna is the eastern horizon. Ghatika lagna will be there, Hora lagna will be there, everything is conjoining. And then they move away from Sun with different speeds."

— PVNR

Why Not Definition 3 (Sanjayji's Refraction Method)

The refraction/atmospheric method is undefined and arbitrary because:

  • Atmospheric refraction depends on atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity
  • On a cloudy day, you may not see the Sun at all — what then?
  • Even "had there been no clouds" varies with weather conditions

"The definition that Sanjayji uses is totally arbitrary — I cannot accept that definition. It is not just arbitrary, it is an undefined construct."

— PVNR

PVNR: "I predict that one day Sanjayji will definitely accept this [center-of-Sun] definition."
