"The 7th lord and 6th lord are both in Manakaraka. Even if they form a Rajyoga, it is like a Rajyoga between two dead people — what good will it do?"

— PVNR"Parasara gives D60 the highest vimsopaka score, more than Rashi and Navamsha combined. Everything else is vehicles toward experiencing the karma shown in D60."
D40/D45 rule: Usually ignored unless combined with specific patterns (cited: D42+D38 combination — clarification needed from context).
D5 Note: "D5 is not from Parasara — it is mentioned in some texts as the power/following you command; not standardly used."
Manakaraka / Mangalakshana — Each Planet's "Death House"
Principle: Every planet has one house where it is maximally uncomfortable — it cannot do what that house asks. The planet is effectively "dead" (marna = death, araka = indicator → marna karaka sthana).
| Planet | Manakaraka Sthana | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Sun | 12th house | Sun wants to own everything (king); 12th = give everything away; "I am a great king, how can I give up?" |
| Moon | 8th house | 8th house is marna karaka for Moon naturally; Moon = nurture, 8th = transformation/death |
| Mars | (Not clearly stated — likely 12th or 1st from classical texts) | — |
| Mercury | 7th house | (Stated: Mercury is in Mangalakshana in the 7th in this chart) |
| Jupiter | 3rd house | "Take a Brahmin and ask him to use weapons and fight — he won't know what to do; against his nature" |
| Venus | — | — |
| Saturn | 1st house (Lagna) | "Give this person great health and vitality" — Saturn says: "What is sukha? I only know making people work hard" |
| Rahu | 9th house | "Follow Dharma" — Rahu is adharmic; asking him to show Dharma is most difficult |
| Ketu | "Ketu hates being anywhere except 12th house (giving bhakti)" — but no clear classical sanction given |
Practical use: When multiple important planets are in Manakaraka Sthana, there is weakness in those life areas. In this chart: Mercury (7th lord) in 7th + Saturn (10th/11th lord) in 1st + Sun (5th lord) in 12th = major marriage and career weaknesses.
Example Chart — Woman Who Never Wanted to Marry
Data: July 18, 1968, 17:28 IST, Adoni, India (77°E17', 15°N38') Situation: Woman (38 years old), never married; did not want to marry for most of her life; changed her mind 2 years ago; now willing but no success so far; stays home with parents; biology graduate (B.Sc. 1988)
Rashi Chart — Aries Lagna
Lagna Rectification (confirmed Aries; tested against Pisces and Cancer/Leo):
- Pisces lagna rejected: Jupiter would be extremely strong as lagna lord + 10th lord → should have given strong career; woman stays at home → contradicts
- Cancer lagna rejected: Preliminary candidate but D24 Narayana Dasha analysis confirmed Aries
- Aries lagna confirmed through:
- Multiple planets in Manakaraka Sthana (consistent with her life patterns)
- D24 Narayana Dasha for B.Sc. graduation (1988) fits perfectly with Aries lagna
Marriage Analysis — Rashi Chart
Why She Never Wanted to Marry
Factor 1 — Saturn-Moon Yoga in Arudha Lagna:
- Saturn (Darakaraka + jewel lord) afflicting Moon = vairagya (dispassion/disinterest)
- "Moon-Saturn yoga gives: Vydyarthasthintana, Kutashama, or Vairagya — disinterest in life itself"
- Saturn in Arudha Lagna = the world perceives her as somebody without enjoyment
- "This is not just perception — this physically manifests as disinterest in relations"
Factor 2 — A7 (Dharapada) in 12th from Arudha Lagna:
- A7 (tangible spouse/relationships) placed 12th from AL = loss/dissolution of relationships
- "A7 in 12th from AL = disinterest in having relationships with people generally"
Factor 3 — Multiple Planets in Manakaraka Sthana:
- Mercury (7th lord in Rashi) = in Manakaraka Sthana (7th house)
- Mars (6th lord — emotions/love) = in Manakaraka Sthana
- "When 7th lord and 6th lord are both in Manakaraka, marriage is very weak"
- Two planets in Manakaraka even though they form a Rajyoga — "Rajyoga between two dead people"
Factor 4 — Venus as 6th Lord (natural karaka for marriage):
- Venus (natural marriage significator) is the 6th lord (bachelorhood lord)
- "The project manager of the marriage project is the head of the 'keep her bachelor' group"
- Venus in 8th house additionally weakens
Factor 5 — 7th lord in Navamsha (Saturn) = debilitated:
- Saturn = 7th lord in Navamsha; debilitated Saturn in Navamsha
- Rahu (8th lord) in 7th house of Navamsha = further affliction to 7th house
Saturn as Darakaraka (DK):
- Saturn is the Darakaraka (Chara Karaka for spouse)
- Saturn with Moon = at the soul level, the person assigned to connect her to a spouse carries Moon-Saturn vairagya energy
- "The DK himself is the planet causing vairagya — the soul-level cause of not wanting marriage"
