• Lagna: Taurus
• 2nd house (Artha Trikona): Gemini — Mercury in own sign + Mars = strong; Mercury = computers/intellectual work
• 10th house: Aquarius
• Venus (lagna lord, 6th lord): in 3rd house
• Jupiter: 8th and 11th lord in 7th house (with Rahu = Guru Chandala Yoga)
• Saturn: in AL (Arudha Lagna), fixed sign Taurus = very stable

Artha and Kama Trikonas in D10 — Service vs. Business

Key principle:

• Artha Trikonas (2nd, 6th, 10th houses) in D10: If these are stronger → person does service (job/employment)
• Kama Trikonas (3rd, 7th, 11th houses) in D10: If these are stronger → person does business

"In D10, 2nd house dominates with Mercury + Mars (Mercury in own sign). Strong Artha Trikona → service sector. Mercury shows intellectual/computer work."

Career Analysis — 1998 Visit

Native's situation: Doing MS in Computer Science at Northeastern University (came to USA in Aug 1996), looking for full-time job in early 1998. Dasha running: Venus-Mercury

Was CS the right field?

• 2nd house of D10 (Artha Trikona): Mercury + Mars → Mercury = communications, silicon, computers; Mars = hardware/engineering
• Conclusion: "Yes, computer science is the right field. You are in the right line."

Venus-Mercury Dasha

• Bhoga: From Mercury (12th house from lagna in D10), count 12th from Mercury → falls in lagna = new beginning
• Mercury = lord of Arudha Lagna; he is in 10th from Arudha Lagna
• Mercury is 5th lord (recognition) in D10
• Conclusion: "Bhoga is in lagna. He will get a good job and career will jump-start in Mercury antardasha."

Sun Dasha (1999–2005) — Warning

• Sun = 4th lord in 12th house (Mrityu Karaka Sthana — MKS)
• "4th lord in 12th house = loss of direction and comfort, no peace"
• Sun = lord of UL; placed in A3 (arudha of 3rd house)
• "A3 shows contract jobs and lot of travel. He is in MKS so no comfort, but not out of job entirely."
• "Sun is in MKS but exalted — he may not lose job but will have lot of travel, contract work, instability"
• "Despite MKS, Sun is exalted and in Moksha Trikona. It is not terrible — some strain, some travel, some loss of comfort, but okay in career."

Moon Dasha (2005–2015) — Overview

• Moon = 3rd lord in 9th house (Bhadaka sthana for fixed signs)
• Moon owns A11 (gains), occupies A6 and A7
• "3rd lord in 9th = some chance of job change. A6 + A7 = employment plus partnerships"
• "Moon connects two Kama Trikonas (3rd house + A7 = 7th house arudha) → possible business or enterprise in Moon period"
• Being in Bhadaka sthana: "unexplainable problems in career, but also some independence (9th house = own boss)"

Annual TP Analysis — 1998 (First Job Year)

Annual chart: January 24, 1998, 3:37:05 PM, Hora Lord = Jupiter D10 Jupiter in ATP:

• 5th and 8th lord in 8th house = well-placed (8th lord in own house is good)
• Guru-Mangala yoga
• Raj Yoga: 6th+9th lords together AND 4th+5th lords together
• Both planets in A5 (tangible recognition)
• "Jupiter has 7 Ashtakavarga points = cooperation of all 7 planets for his agenda"
• Lagna lord Sun in 5th house of recognition; Sun's dispositor = Jupiter

Warning about Jupiter in natal D10: "Jupiter = 8th lord in 7th house with Guru Chandala Yoga. He is the 8th lord aspecting 10th lord Rahu. This is bad for career. When his antardasha comes, be careful."

Navamsa perspective: Jupiter = 9th lord in Navamsa = protects the native. "Jupiter will bless him with luck, but he has to use that luck to fight."

Advice given in 1998: "Computer science is good. Career will start in Venus-Mercury (bhoga in lagna). From 1999–2005, some instability but not terrible. After Moon dasha, things will take off."

Annual TP 2001 — Job Loss Danger

Native's question (September 2001): "How is my career? My dot-com company may be in trouble. Should I get married?" Dasha running: Sun-Jupiter (Vimshottari)

Why Sun-Jupiter is Concerning

• Paaka (antardasha lord's placement from dasha lord): Jupiter is 8th from Sun = "What is cooking in your mind is 8th house trouble"
• Bhoga: 2nd house (resources) — decent, but overshadowed by the Paaka
• Jupiter = 8th lord in 7th house = "combination of death/end" (8th lord in 7th OR 7th lord in 8th = Maraka combinations)
• Jupiter = 8th lord aspecting 10th lord Rahu (inimical — no exchange of results)
• Ashtakavarga: Jupiter has 7 points in D10 = "all planets cooperate with whatever Jupiter wants to give — good or bad"
• Jupiter associated with A5+A4+A9 = "recognition, comfort, and fortune involved, but as 8th lord he may break and then rebuild"

Conclusion: "Strong chance (70–80%) of job loss in Jupiter antardasha, but Jupiter will also give fortune and rebuild — he is 9th lord in Navamsa."

Annual TP Chart (2001) — D10

• Saturn = ruler of year (Hora lord)
• Venus (6th lord, debilitated in 10th): 6th lord in Artha Trikona (10th house) = his agenda is service, not break
• Moon dasha analysis:
  • Moon = 8th lord + Rahu together in lagna (being eclipsed)
  • 8th lord in lagna with 3rd lord under eclipse
  • "8th lord's agenda = long break; Rahu's agenda = short break; both malefic agendas"
  • "Despite being in lagna (protective), being 8th lord under eclipse is serious"

CRITICAL RULE: "Eclipse of Sun or Moon with Rahu/Ketu in any annual (TP/ATP) divisional chart is ALWAYS bad. Rahu and Ketu put all their energy into troubling Sun and Moon — they are very happy doing this. In natal chart, the eclipse result is given at a specific dasha; in annual chart, it is a key feature for the whole year — results are more pronounced."

"If Moon's agenda is good but it is eclipsed, it cannot give the good. If Moon's agenda is bad and it is eclipsed, it does double harm."

Bhoga and Paaka — Distinction

"Paaka is what is being processed in your mind. Bhoga is what you get out of it."

Lesson: "Do not predict a job in Moon-Jupiter because Moon-Rahu was coming immediately after. A terrible Antardasha must give its terrible result — if someone found a job in the 'good' period, the terrible period wouldn't have happened."
