Jaya Yoga & Service vs. Business
Jaya Yoga — the yoga of victory over enemies: 6L in 6H, 3L in 3H, or both combining positively. How to determine if a chart is service-oriented or business-oriented using the 6H vs. 7H balance and Arudhas. Applied to Sanjay Gandhi's Rasi chart: power without wisdom.

Service vs Business Thumb Rule (Review)
- Strong 6th house (or 6H lord) → person inclined toward service/employment
- Strong 7th house (or 7H lord) → person inclined toward business/independence
- Check by looking at which house has more planetary influence (occupants or aspects)
- This is a general thumb rule, not absolute; other factors qualify

Why: 10H lord exalted = excellent karma delivery to society. 6H lord debilitated = 6th house (obstacles) is weak — obstacles don't trouble you much. Combined: your karma flows smoothly without major resistance.
Rule on debilitated dusthana lords:
- 6th lord, 8th lord, 12th lord being debilitated is good materially
- They carry bad agendas (obstacles, troubles, losses) — you want them to be weak and sad
- "You don't want him to be excited if he has a bad agenda — you want him to be sad and helpless"
- Conversely, if 6L or 8L is exalted → bad news (powerful obstacle-giver)
Rasi Chart Analysis
Lagna: Makara (Capricorn)
Lagna analysis: Saturn owns Capricorn and aspects it (3rd aspect from Aquarius or 10th aspect position). Result: the person's true self is cold-hearted, unemotional, disciplined, and very hardworking. Saturn has no emotions — he just enforces karma without compassion.

This is the true self, not the perceived image. The image (AL) can be totally different.
Reading 3H/6H from Arudha Lagna — Saint vs Materialist
Rule: Look at the 3rd and 6th houses from Arudha Lagna. They show boldness and fighting ability — the way the image fights its battles:
- Benefic planets there (Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, benefic Moon): Saintly image — person is perceived as one who does not fight aggressively; the "sadhu or saint" image
- Malefic planets there (Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, Sun): Materialistic image — aggressive, forceful, worldly; fights to get what it wants

Verdict: Sanjay Gandhi is clearly seen as a materialistic, aggressive, and forceful person — not a saint.
Arudha Lagna (Libra) Analysis
AL = Libra. Planets in AL: Venus (24°39') and Jupiter (23°53') — only 1 degree apart.
Two enemy planets at 1° apart in the same house = clash and split image:
- Venus (teacher of demons, passionate) vs Jupiter (teacher of gods, wise)
- Some people see him as a passionate, forceful person (Venus wins)
- Others see him as a wise, thoughtful person (Jupiter's influence)
- Dual/split image in the world — different people see him very differently
Who wins when they're this close? The planet with more advanced degrees wins:
- Venus = 24°39', Jupiter = 23°53' → Venus wins (even though in own house)
- Primary image = Venusian: passionate, pleasant to be with, gets things done through passion

Strengthening Jupiter when afflicted:

- Analogy: Vishwamitra (priest/Jupiter) was troubled by Rakshasas (Maricha + Subahu = Rahu/Ketu). He did not fight himself — he went to Dasharatha and brought Sri Rama (Sun) to fight for him. Similarly, when Jupiter is in trouble, Sun comes to rescue.
- Rule: Praying to Sun gives faster results than praying to Jupiter directly when Jupiter is afflicted — UNLESS Sun is himself a bad planet (8L, 12L, 6L afflicting the chart).
2nd House from Arudha Lagna (Scorpio)
2H from AL = the resources of the image — what makes the image look powerful and wealthy in people's eyes:

Moon — Marana Karaka Sthana
Moon: 7th lord, placed in 8th house → Marana Karaka Sthana for Moon
Two bad indicators simultaneously:
- Moon in 8H = Moon's Marana Karaka Sthana → 7H significations are destroyed
- 7H lord in 8H = Maraka (killer) — strong indicator of death in Moon's dasha

Historical verification: Sanjay Gandhi died in June 1980. Analysis suggests Moon Mahadasha as the likely period of death.
Marital happiness: Moon in 8H also damages marital happiness (7th house significations suffer from its lord being in 8H = Marana Karaka Sthana).
