Sahamas in Annual TP Charts — Paradesha & Jalapatana for Foreign Travel
Sahamas (special sensitive points) in annual Tithi Pravesha charts for foreign travel: Paradesha Sahama = indicator of living in foreign lands; Jalapatana Sahama = overseas journey by water/air. How to calculate each Sahama and identify if it is activated in a given year's TP chart. Cross-reference with D4, 12H indicators, and Narayana Dasha for the year: all three must align for actual foreign settlement. Kiran Chandrashekar's case: how Sahamas in the annual TP chart confirmed the year of green card approval and US settlement.
"Sahamas are like sensitive points in the annual chart. When a Sahama is activated by the Hora lord or the dasha lord, that year the Sahama's promise is delivered."
— P.V.R. Narasimha Rao
Example Chart
Sahamas in Annual TP Charts — Foreign Travel Indicators
Key Sahamas for Foreign Travel
- Paradesha Sahama = the point in the chart indicating "going to a faraway place"
- Jalapatana Sahama = the point indicating "travelling over water/ocean"
The Critical Rule
If Paradesha Sahama or Jalapatana Sahama does NOT have a link with:
- 9th house, 9th lord
- 12th house, 12th lord
- Badhakasthana, Badhakesha
→ It is very unlikely the person will travel/settle abroad during that year
If any of these connect → the Sahama is activated and foreign travel/settlement is strongly indicated.
Practical Use
- Look at these Sahamas only in the annual TP chart (not natal chart — Sahamas are more reliable in annual charts)
- See if the Paradesa/Jalapatana Sahama degree falls in a house that contains or is ruled by 9th/12th/badhaka lords
