D6 Health, D16 Vehicles & D30 Trimshamsa — Three Variations, Five Tattvas + Body Part Rules

Identifying the Event — Methodical Analysis

For an accident, Shashthamsa (D-6) is the key chart. If it is a vehicular accident, D-16 must be seen too. If it is an evil event, D-30 must have some link.

Using D-6 (Shashthamsa) for Health/Accident

Rasi shows the overall physical existence. D-6 shows the problems to it.

"In D-6, any problems to the existence of the person like ill health or accident or somebody coming and fighting with him, all these things you see in D-6. And the bad houses are 6th and 8th."

It also shows litigation and quarrels — other beings giving you trouble.

Viparita yogas do not turn good in D-6:

"If the 8th lord is in the 8th, in the Rasi chart you may say it is not bad. But in D-6 it is bad. If the 8th lord is in the 6th, normally in the Rasi chart you may say it is a Raj yoga. But in the matter of ill health, it is a bad thing."

6th lord in the 8th, 8th lord in the 6th, 6th and 8th lords together in the 3rd — Vimala, Sarala, Harsha — are not auspicious in D-6. They are only better than some other planet being there: the 8th lord in the 8th is better than the 7th lord in the 8th.

In the D-6 of the year (Virgo lagna):

• Mars, the dasha lord, is the 8th lord in the 8th in Aries.
• Saturn, the 6th lord and Hora lord, is exalted in Libra in the 2nd, a maraka sthana, and aspects Mars by his 7th graha drishti.
• "Usually Mars-Saturn aspect shows very violent things, extremely violent things."
• Saturn and Venus are in parivartana (Saturn in Libra, Venus in Capricorn). Saturn can act like Venus, so it may be less violent. Had Venus been elsewhere it would have been worse.
• The parivartana is interesting for another reason: Venus is the karaka of vehicles.

Conclusion: some accident or similar event is possible.

Using D-16 (Shodasamsa) for Vehicular Accident

D-16 is the chart of pleasure and happiness from vehicles. For an accident see its 6th and 8th houses.

In the D-16 of the year (Pisces lagna):

• 6th lord Sun is in the 3rd.
• 8th lord Venus is in the 2nd, aspecting his own house.
• Lagna lord Jupiter and Mars, the 9th lord and a functional benefic, are in mutual aspect.
• Nothing violent is happening to the vehicle.

The class concludes: an accident or injury, but probably not a vehicular one. The answer turns out to be a vehicular accident, and PVNR goes back to find what was missed:

"It is not his vehicle, in which case D-16 will show it. A vehicle came and hit him — you would not see it in D-16."

Contrast — PVNR's own accident. His data: April 4, 1970, 5:47:13 PM IST, Machilipatnam (81°12'E, 16°15'N). In the D-16 of his 1996 annual chart Leo rises with Mercury. Lagna lord Sun is in the 6th, hammered by Saturn, Rahu and Ketu, and Saturn is the 6th lord in the 6th.

• The accident came on December 5, 1996, in Saturn dasha, Saturn antardasha. With Rahu and Ketu there it was sudden.
• The car was totalled. He had no injury at all.
• "That's what I call vehicular accident. Not a vehicle coming and hitting you."
• If you see such combinations in the 6th or 8th of D-16, tell the person to be careful in driving.

Using D-30 (Trimshamsa) for Evils and Vulnerabilities

"Navamsa shows the blessing and D-30 shows the opposite of it — lack of blessings and negative things sitting on your head."

All physical suffering comes from subconscious reasons, and those come from karma. Anger, depression, anxiety each have a physical manifestation. The subconscious evils and their manifestation are seen in Trimshamsa.

Rahu and Ketu are the key in D-30 (taught by Sanjay Rath). See the house they occupy and the planets they afflict. If they afflict no key planet it may not be that bad.

No planet can be in Cancer or Leo in this D-30. All are in the other ten signs.

The D-30 lagna does not move at an even pace — one Trimshamsa is 5 degrees, another 6 — so do not lean on it when the lagna is near a boundary.

The Three Variations of D-30

Which one to open:

• Someone is accused of a crime and you want to know whether he did it: Parivritti Trimshamsa.
• Is any suffering due in this year, or in these two years of a dasha: Shashtyamsa-like Trimshamsa.
• Is a blood problem or a bone problem possible this year: Parashara's Trimshamsa.

The Five Tattvas in Parashara's D-30

The tattva goes by the ruler of the sign.

• Rahu and Ketu in a Mercury sign in the natal D-30: broken bones or some bone problem at some time in life. If the same shows in a year's annual chart, be cautious that year — the more so if the nodes afflict a key planet.
• Madness can be Jala and Agni together.
• Nodes afflicting Akasha tattva is the worst case. It shows very bad events.
• Physical, mental and subconscious go together. None is the cause of the other.
• A thumb rule. It works reasonably, given the right dasha.

In the D-30 of the year (Libra lagna):

• Rahu and Ketu are in Sagittarius — Akasha tattva afflicted.
• Jupiter, the planet of Akasha, is with them, and he is in the 3rd, his Marana Karaka Sthana. Jupiter with the nodes is a terrible yoga.
• Lagna lord Venus is in the 6th, his Marana Karaka Sthana, and Sun, the badhakesha, is in lagna.
• Something serious can happen to the person during the year.

Summary of the annual chart: a chance of some accident, probably not a vehicular one.

Body Part Identification Rules

Asked before the answer is revealed: if Jupiter gives an injury, to which part of the body?

For the 8th lord: see the SIGN he occupies, counted in the natural zodiac (Aries = 1, Taurus = 2 …).

For the 6th lord: see the HOUSE he occupies from the lagna.

Both are possible for both. But for the 8th lord the natural zodiac is more dominant — "somehow the tradition says" so, and it works in a lot of charts. For the 6th lord the house from lagna is more dominant.

6th and 8th lords vs. badhakesha:

• The 6th and 8th lords are the main givers of bodily trouble. They want to break the body.
• The badhakesha would rather confuse it — problems you cannot figure out.

Applied to this chart:

• 8th lord Venus is in Leo, the 5th sign of the natural zodiac: stomach, digestion.
• 6th lord Jupiter is in the 10th house: the knee region.

  "If you want to be very specific and be wrong, you say knee. If you want to increase your probability of being right, you say legs."

• Allow some approximation to the neighbouring region. With the 9th to 12th houses expect the trouble in the lower part of the body.

A student adds: from Venus, the dasha lord, Jupiter is the 5th and 8th lord in the 12th.
