Bhava Chart for Rectification: Taurus D4 (Not Aquarius) = Foreign Travel in Mercury-Rahu Dasha via Bhoga Technique; D10 Venus to 5H (Purva Punya) via Bhava = First Job Explained; Nakshatra-Planet Lordship = Dasha Only (NOT General Spiritual Rulership): Abhijit Cannot Have Vimshottari Lord
Rectification using Bhava chart (Satish, May 9 1983, Srikakulam; foreign travel Jan 2001 in Mercury-Rahu dasha): D4 Aquarius lagna — Mercury in 12H explains foreign dasha, but Rahu (AD) in 4H doesn't support; D4 Taurus lagna — Bhoga technique: from Mercury (MD), 6th → Rahu (AD); 6th from Rahu = Scorpio; in Taurus D4, Scorpio = 7H (foreign-travel house: 7/9/12); Ketu in 8H (Taurus D4) explains disruption better than Ketu in 10H/11H (Aquarius D4). PVNR: "Taurus D4 is more consistent when Bhava chart is applied." D10 Bhava example: Venus AD in Ketu MD gave first job; Rasi D10 (Pisces lagna) = Venus in 6H (Maraka sthana) = doesn't explain lucky career break; Bhava-adjusted D10 = Venus moves to 5H (Purva Punya = lucky break) + Ketu+Mars in 10H = technical career. "Bhava explained the chart completely; Rasi did not." Rectification principle: "Always use longitude-based Bhava chart; if a planet is actually in 4th house (even if we think it's in 5th), it gives 4th house results. This applies to natal AND Tithi Pravesh charts." Nakshatra lordship debate: "Vimshottari assigns nakshatras to planets purely for dasha calculation — which nakshatra maps to which dasha period. This does NOT mean Punarvasu has a permanent esoteric relationship with Jupiter. In Ashtottari or Kalachakra, the mapping is completely different." Abhijit problem: 28-nakshatra scheme includes Abhijit; Vimshottari is based on 27 nakshatras; "Abhijit cannot have a Vimshottari lord because it doesn't exist in that scheme. Modern teachers claiming 'Abhijit as AK = great soul' are mixing incompatible schemes = illogical." What is legitimate: nakshatra devata connections (Bharani→Yama, Pushya→Brihaspati) = valid ancient Vedic knowledge. "The darkness of Kali Yuga introduced corruptions. Permanent planet-nakshatra lordship based only on Vimshottari is a corruption."
"Nakshatra-planet lordship in Vimshottari is for dasha calculation only. It does not mean Punarvasu has a spiritual relationship with Jupiter. In Ashtottari dasha, the same Punarvasu belongs to a different planet entirely. To assign permanent esoteric meaning to Vimshottari nakshatra-lords is a Kali Yuga corruption. The true nakshatra rulerships are the devatas — those are ancient and valid. Vimshottari is a calculation tool, not a spiritual map."

Example Chart
Bhava Chart for Rectification — Satish's Chart
Birth data: May 9, 1983, 1:48 PM, Srikakulam, India (83°54'E, 18°18'N)
Events: Went abroad January 2001 (Mercury-Rahu dasha); came again in 2007
Dasha at Jan 2001: Mercury main, Rahu Antardasha
D4 Rectification (Aquarius vs Taurus Lagna)
Aquarius D4:
- Mercury in 12th house → 12th = abroad/foreign land → Mercury dasha giving foreign result makes sense
- But Rahu (Antardasha) in 4th house from Aquarius → doesn't strongly indicate foreign residence from Rahu's perspective
Taurus D4:
- Mercury in 9th house (Balakasthana) → still explains foreign travel in Mercury dasha
- Rahu in 2nd house from Taurus → less obvious for foreign
- BUT: Bhoga technique — from Mercury, 6th house → to Rahu, 6th from Rahu = Scorpio → in Taurus D4, Scorpio falls in 7th house (one of the three foreign-travel houses: 7th, 9th, 12th) → this is better
- Additional: Ketu dasha currently = changed 5 houses in less than 2 years → Ketu in 8th house (Taurus D4) explains disruption better than Ketu in 10th or 11th
Conclusion: Taurus D4 lagna is more consistent with events when Bhava chart is applied.
D10 Bhava Example (from another student)
- Venus Antardasha in Ketu dasha gave first job
- Rasi D10 (Pisces lagna): Venus in 6th house (Maraka sthana) → does NOT explain getting a first lucky break
- Bhava D10 (Bhava-adjusted): Venus moves to 5th house (Purvapunya = lucky break for career) + Ketu and Mars in 10th house (shows software/technical career)
- Bhava explained the chart completely; Rasi did not
PVNR's Rectification Principle
— PVNR"Rectification should be based on houses, not Rasis. If a planet is actually in the 4th house (even if we think it's in the 5th), it will give 4th house results."
- Apply Bhava Chakra (longitude-based) for both natal AND Tithi Pravesh charts
- In TP charts: a planet you think is in 8th may actually be in 7th → results change accordingly
D4 Tithi Pravesh (2000–2001 Year)
- TP for 2000–2001 year; Sun = Hora Lord
- In D4 of TP: Sun in 7th house (foreign travel house) → Hora Lord supporting foreign travel → event makes sense
- 9th house has Rahu + UL (Upapada Lagna) → further confirms foreign residence
- 9th lord Moon aspecting Sun → another foreign link
- Principle: Hora Lord, even if not the most prominent for the event, can trigger the result if other indications support it
Nakshatra Lordship — Critical Discussion
Student question: Does nakshatra ruler change between the 4 padas?
Answer: No — the whole nakshatra is ruled by one planet in Vimshottari. Padas = navamsas (divisions within the nakshatra).
PVNR's broader concern — nakshatra-planet lordship is questionable:
- Vimshottari assigns nakshatras to planets purely for the purpose of dasha calculation (which nakshatra maps to which dasha period)
- This does NOT mean Punarvasu has a permanent esoteric relationship with Jupiter
- In Ashtottari dasha or Kalachakra dasha, the nakshatra-planet mapping is completely different
- "To say Punarvasu has some Abhinnava-bhava relationship with Jupiter is actually questionable. There is no rishi precedent."
Abhijit nakshatra problem:
- 28-nakshatra scheme includes Abhijit (between Uttarashada and Shravana)
- Vimshottari is based on 27 nakshatras (not 28)
- Abhijit cannot have a Vimshottari lord because it doesn't exist in that scheme
- Modern teachers claiming "Abhijit as Atmakaraka = great soul" are mixing incompatible schemes → "illogical"
What is legitimate:
- Nakshatra has a devata (e.g., Bharani → Yama, Ashwini → Ashwini Kumars, Pushya → Brihaspati)
- These deity rulerships are from the Vedic tradition and are meaningful
- "Pushya is ruled by Brihaspati" as a devata-nakshatra connection = valid
- "Pushya is ruled by Saturn (Vimshottari)" for determining dashas = valid but ONLY for dasha period mapping
— PVNR"The darkness of Kali Yuga introduced corruptions. To assign permanent planet-nakshatra lordship based on Vimshottari alone is a corruption."
