Pada Divisional Longitude Transit: Within 2-4° of Pada's D-Chart Longitude Triggers Events; Three Lagnas for Marriage (7H from Lagna=Physical, Moon=Mental, Venus=Conjugal Spirit); Surekha (Tenali 1980, Virgo Lagna): Saturn-Rahu MD-AD = Marriage + TP 7th Lord in 7H Confirms

Pada divisional longitude transit (verse 23): "Each Arudha Pada has a specific longitudinal position within its divisional chart (not just a sign, but a degree-minute point). When a relevant planet transits within 2-4 degrees of that divisional longitude, it triggers an event." Marriage example: find UL longitude in D9; when Mars/Jupiter/Venus transits within ~3° of that exact point = marriage timing. Research method: open two instances of Jagannatha Hora — one with event date transit, one with natal padas; identify 2-3 planets of interest (7L from lagna D9, 7L from Venus D9, 7L from Moon D9); check which transit near divisional longitude of UL. Future software will show all 120 Arudha Pada divisional longitudes (9 planets + lagna × 12 houses × multiple divisions). Three lagnas for marriage: "Parashara says: 3 lagnas matter. 7th from Lagna = physical marriage/partnership; 7th from Moon = mental/emotional union; 7th from Venus = spirit of conjugal enjoyment. All three must be checked." Surekha (May 28, 1980, Tenali, Virgo lagna; married Feb 2005, 2 abortions). Marriage verification: Vimshottari Saturn MD + Rahu AD → D9: Saturn = LL in 10H aspects 7H; from Moon: Saturn in 7H directly; from Venus: Saturn aspects 7H = "Saturn has links to 7th from Lagna + Moon + Venus in D9 = can give marriage." Rahu AD: "3rd house = Kama Trikona from both Lagna and Moon; aspects 7H from both = can give marriage." TP 2004-05: Taurus lagna; Jupiter (7L from TP) in 7H from TP; lagna lord Mercury also in 7H = "Jupiter and lagna lord both in 7th of TP = marriage explained perfectly." PVNR: "TP explains marriage better than just Vimshottari."

"Three lagnas matter for marriage. From the Lagna — that is the physical companionship. From the Moon — that is the mental and emotional partnership. From Venus — that is the spirit of conjugal enjoyment within you. Parashara says to check all three. A marriage that works on all three levels is a complete marriage. When the dasha activates all three seventh houses simultaneously, marriage happens."

Surekha — Abortions + Marriage + Children (Tenali, 1980)
May 28, 1980 · 1:32 PM IST · Tenali (80°35'E, 16°15'N)
Virgo lagna. Saturn MD + Rahu AD = marriage Feb 2005 (Saturn has 7H links from Lagna+Moon+Venus in D9; Rahu in Kama Trikona). TP 2004: Jupiter (7L) + Mercury (LL) both in 7H = strong marriage signal. D7: Jupiter+Rahu exact (16' apart) in Gandanta + 5L in 12H = 2 abortions (2007, 2009). Hope after 2018 (Vargosa/Capricorn dasha). D20 Venus (LL) in 4H = spiritual peace.

Verse 23 — Pada Divisional Longitude and Transit Timing

Concept: Each Arudha Pada has a specific longitudinal position within its divisional chart (not just a sign, but a degree-minute point). When a relevant planet transits within 2-4 degrees of that divisional longitude, it can trigger an event.

Marriage example:

  • Find the divisional longitude of Upapada in D9 (Navamsa)
  • e.g., UL might be in Libra in Rasi, but its D9 longitude might be 8°30' Gemini
  • When a marriage-significant planet (Mars = 7th lord in D9, Jupiter = 7th lord from Venus, Venus = karaka) transits within ~3-4 degrees of 8°30' Gemini in the Navamsa → marriage timing

Orb: 2-4 degrees from the pada's divisional longitude (approximate; some charts show exact, others show 1-2 degree difference)

Research method (PVNR's practice):

  • Open two instances of Jagannatha Hora: one showing transit chart with date of event; one showing natal chart with all padas
  • Identify 2-3 planets of interest (e.g., 7th lord from lagna D9, 7th lord from Venus D9, 7th lord from Moon D9)
  • Check if any of those are transiting near the divisional longitude of UL (from lagna, from Venus, etc.)

Software note: Future Jagannatha Hora release will include divisional longitudes for all 120 Arudha Padas (9 planets + Lagna × 12 houses) in all charts up to D60. Until then, manual calculation required:

  • Find pada longitude in the Rasi/D1
  • Compute divisional position: (pada_longitude mod 1.5°) × D_factor
  • Or estimate from chart sign positions

Case Study — Surekha (Tenali, Software Engineer, 2 Abortions)

Birth data: May 28, 1980, 13:32 IST (1:32 PM), Tenali (80°35'E, 16°15'N)
Lagna: Virgo
Situation: Married February 2005; 2 abortions (2007, 2009); out of job ~2 years; depressed

Marriage Verification — Vimshottari Dasha

Dasha running at marriage (Feb 2005): Saturn Mahadasha, Rahu Antardasha

Does Saturn give marriage?

  • In D9 Navamsa: Saturn = Lagna lord (Capricorn Navamsa Lagna) → in 10th house → aspects 7th house
  • From Moon: Saturn is in 7th house from Moon → directly occupies 7th from Moon
  • From Venus: Saturn aspects the 7th from Venus (not full aspect but present)
  • Conclusion: Saturn has links to 7th from Lagna, 7th from Moon, and 7th from Venus → can give marriage ✓

Does Rahu give marriage?

  • Rahu in 3rd house (Kama Trikona from Lagna) → aspects 7th house
  • From Moon: Rahu in 11th house → aspects 7th house from Moon → in Kama Trikona from Moon too
  • Conclusion: Rahu in Kama Trikon from both Lagna and Moon, aspecting 7th from both → can give marriage ✓

Marriage Verification — Tithi Pravesh Chart (2004-05 year)

TP Lagna: Taurus
In TP chart:

  • 7th lord = Jupiter → in 7th house from TP Lagna (perfect placement for marriage)
  • Lagna lord Mercury → also in 7th house from TP Lagna
  • 7th lord Jupiter with 9th lord in 3rd house (Kama house) by some calculation

Verdict: Tithi Pravesh 2004 explains marriage clearly — Jupiter in 7th of TP, and TP dasha giving Jupiter → marriage confirmed via TP.

"Does this explain marriage better or the previous one? This explains marriage better."

— PVNR

Slight rectification: Time adjusted by ~2-3 minutes (earlier) to properly place TP Lagna. Original 13:32 slightly modified.

Triple Reference for Marriage

"3 lagnas that matter for marriage: (1) Lagna — physical partnership/companionship; (2) Moon — mental partnership (how mind views partnership); (3) Venus — partnership from the spirit of enjoyment within you. All three are important — Parashara says so."

— PVNR
  • 7th from Lagna = physical marriage
  • 7th from Moon = mental/emotional union
  • 7th from Venus = spirit of conjugal enjoyment

Children Analysis — D7 Saptamsha

D7 placements (concerning):

  • 5th lord in 12th house of D7 → 5th lord (children) goes to 12th (loss/endings) = bad for children
  • Jupiter in 12th house of D7 (Jupiter = karka for children)
  • Rahu in Gandanta (junction of water-fire signs = most unstable; karmic void)
  • Rahu closely afflicting Jupiter: Jupiter at 8°11', Rahu at 8°27' (only 16' apart = virtually exact conjunction) → Jupiter as children's karka severely damaged by Rahu in Gandanta

Dhrupada Dasha (mentioned briefly): Gemini running, Leo upcoming. Vargosa Dasha 2018-2027 (when 5th from Virgo Lagna = Capricorn runs):

  • Capricorn = 8th house of natal chart, with 4 planets → this dasha is very significant
  • May offer some possibility after 2018 if other factors support

Verdict: Both 2007 and 2009 abortions explained by D7; very challenging period for children; some hope after 2018 in Vargosa Dasha.

D20 Vimshamsa (Spiritual Life) Analysis

Atmakaraka: Rahu at 9° Sagittarius

Ishta Devata (12th from AK in D20):

  • Count anti-zodiacally from Rahu's D20 position: 12th from AK longitude = ~ area of Capricorn-Sagittarius
  • Venus is at 26° Capricorn → falls in 11th house from AK in D20
  • Mars at 29° Virgo → full aspect on that area
  • Mars + Jupiter both have some connection to the 12th from AK region → Ishta Devata = warrior/dynamic form (further analysis needed)

D20 general quality:

PlanetD20 PlacementAssessment
Mercury (9th lord)10th/11th house, with 10th lordGood — religious dharma, following right path
Venus (Lagna lord)4th house (Kendra), friendly signExcellent — peace, clarity, spiritual direction
Saturn8th houseChallenging — some anxiety, obstacles
RahuAfflicting some key placementsConfusion, anxiety

Guidance: During Mercury dasha, she should be religious — 9th lord in 10th = following dharma and religion. Venus (lagna lord) in 4th = well-directed, peaceful, happy in spiritual life.

"With her spiritual life, religious life, she will be generally peaceful and happy and well-directed. Venus is a strong planet there."

— PVNR

Current concern: Rahu + Ketu afflicting = confusion and misjudgment. Sagittarius Rasi dasha = dispositor of those afflicted planets running → some health/mental confusion possible.
