D10 Dashamsa — Career Verification and Rectification

The events

• Second half of 2004: searching and not finding. January 2005: a job. June 2005: a better job in a good company. Career was different from then on.
• All of it fell in Rāhu–Ketu of the D-10 Vimśottarī. First half struggle, second half good breaks.
• At 5:15 the D-10 lagna is Leo, again with only about 3½ minutes of leeway forward before it becomes Virgo.
• D-10 placements used: Moon in Virgo; Sun, Mars and Ketu in Capricorn; Rāhu in Cancer; Mercury and Saturn in Scorpio.

Rāhu

• From lagna (Leo): 7th lord in the 12th house.
• From Sun (Capricorn): 2nd lord of resources in the 7th house.
• From Moon (Virgo): 6th lord of service in the 11th house of gains. He aspects the 7th house.
• The 7th house is the common link in all three references. The 7th gives business or desire. Rāhu gives the wish for a job and trouble getting one. He is average: not terrible, not good. He would have been decent for own business.

Ketu

• From Sun: in lagna, with Mars (4th and 11th lord, and bādhaka lord) and with the 8th lord Sun. He afflicts both.
• From Moon: 3rd lord in the 5th house, with the 8th lord Mars.
• From lagna (Leo): 4th lord in the 6th house, a good placement for him, but he eclipses Sun and Mars.
• Ketu touches the 8th lord from Sun and from Moon. So his period could not be smooth.

"Ketu's nature is decided by where he is and who he is with. In the 5th house, Ketu is a benefic, but he is with Sun and Mars."

• Net: some suffering first, then the benefic placement in the 5th delivers.

The pratyantardaśā that gave the good job (June 2005)

• Within Rāhu–Ketu the pratyantardaśās ran Rāhu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, and things improved as they went. June 2005 was Saturn or Mercury; the native gave only the month.
• Mercury and Saturn are together.
• From Sun: Mercury is the 9th lord, in the 11th house with the lagna lord Saturn. Lagna lord and 9th lord together in the 11th is a good rāja yoga.
• From Moon: lagna lord Mercury and 6th lord Saturn together, aspecting the 9th house. Again a good rāja yoga.
• From lagna (Leo): Mercury is the 2nd and 11th lord, a malefic. Saturn is the 6th and 7th lord. No yoga.

Rectification: Leo to Virgo

• A struggle, then an ordinary job, then suddenly a good job and a changed career: the planets that gave it should form a yoga from lagna too.
• The lagna needs 3 minutes 18 seconds to change. The teacher rounds it to 3½ minutes: 5:18:30 AM.
• The D-10 lagna becomes Virgo, where the Moon already is. Everything read from Moon now holds from lagna. Lagna and Moon together make that reference stronger. Mercury gives his yoga from all three references.
• The D-4 lagna becomes Libra, also the Moon's sign there. The D-4 reading from Moon already explained the events, so nothing needs revisiting.
• With Leo lagna the 10th house is Taurus. With Virgo lagna it is Gemini. The native did not state his work. A computer job is likely, and Gemini fits that better.

D24 Siddhamsa — Education Break (August 2001)

• The lagna sits at the same 15° border, so D-24 changes lagna at almost the same moment (12 seconds earlier). If the D-10 rectification is right, the D-24 lagna is Leo. Otherwise the next change is 4½ minutes further on.
• Event: he joined an ordinary college in 2000. In August 2001 he moved to a good college and a good course.
• D-24 Vimśottarī: Rāhu–Jupiter. For a break that changed a couple of years, read the antardaśā lord.
• From lagna (Leo): Rāhu is in the 5th house and Jupiter is the 5th lord in lagna. The 5th is pūrva puṇya, so a lucky break is possible.
• To give that fully, Jupiter must also link to the 5th or 9th from Sun and Moon.
• From Sun: he aspects the 5th lord.
• From Moon: he is the dispositor of the 5th lord and also aspects the 5th lord.
• He links to the 5th house from all three references. He triggers pūrva puṇya.
• The rectified D-24 lagna explains the event. Accepted.

D3 Drekkana — Sister's Marriage and Child

No use for rectification

• 15° is the middle of the 10°–20° drekkāṇa. Leeway is about 20 minutes either way. The teacher reads the sister only as an exercise.

Elder sister's marriage (November 2000): Moon–Rāhu

• D-3 lagna and Moon are together in Leo, so read from that and ignore Sun.
• The working rule: the 11th house shows the first sibling. That is Gemini. "We haven't done any research, we will continue with that rule."
• Take Gemini as the sister's lagna.
• Moon: in the 3rd house, a kāma trikoṇa. He aspects the 9th house of dharma. He is the 2nd lord of family. Building a family is possible.
• Rāhu: the 9th lord, in lagna, aspecting the 7th house and the lagna lord Mercury there. Lagna lord and 9th lord on the lagna–7th axis is a rāja yoga between Rāhu and Mercury.
• A student asks about bhoga and pāka from Moon to Rāhu. The bhoga falls in Aries, the 11th house from Gemini: gains in various matters during that antardaśā.

Her child (November 2001): Moon–Jupiter

• From Gemini, Venus is the 5th lord in the 5th house and Saturn is exalted there. For a prediction one would have picked Venus.
• Jupiter is the kāraka for children and is in own house. He has a 92% aspect on Venus and an 80% aspect on the 5th house.
• So Jupiter is also a fair candidate, and he gave the child.

Second sister (October 2005): Moon–Ketu

• Not analysed. The teacher was not sure whether she is elder or younger, so he could not fix her house.

Rasi Chart — Health Analysis (May 2008 Kidney Infection)

"Rāśi is the main thing for the physical body. So first see the Rāśi, then you can do whatever you want."

• Period: Moon–Saturn. Moon is the 4th lord in lagna. Lagna, Moon and Sun are all in Aries.

Saturn and the stress

• Saturn's graha dṛṣṭi: 90% on Moon, 82% on Sun, 92% on lagna.
• For Aries lagna he owns the 10th and 11th. The 10th lordship is acceptable for him; the 11th is very malefic. Overall a slight malefic.
• He is exalted but retrograde: ucca bhaṅga.
• He is no friend of Sun and Moon. His aspect on them is bad.
• Saturn aspecting or joining the Moon, in Moon–Saturn or Saturn–Moon: mental peace goes. Depression, sadness.

Saturn and the kidney

• He aspects the 6th lord Mercury at 85%.
• He is the bādhaka lord: for Aries lagna the bādhaka sthāna is Aquarius. A bādhaka lord can give sudden health problems.
• He is in the 7th house. The 7th shows the kidneys and urinary tract.
• Bādhaka lord in the 7th, in his antardaśā: kidney and urinary infection.
